DAILY MANAGEMENT PLAN

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Objectives: Within 8 hours of clinical duty as student head nurse at MJ Santos Hospital (Pedia Ward), I will be able to:
1. Participate in the endorsement done by the staff nurse of the night shift;
2. Initiate a pre and post conference with my respective nurses;
3. Remind my staff nurses regarding their patient’s designated special endorsement;
4. Check the paraphernalias of my staff nurses as well as collect all the daily written requirements;
5. Facilitate nursing rounds together with my staff nurses;
6. Inspect my staff nurses’ sample SOAPIE / METHOD as well as assist them in carrying out doctor’s orders;
7. Conduct an endorsement to the official staff nurses of the hospital regarding all the carried out interventions and orders for the patients
handled.

9:05 – 9:25 AM Conduct nursing rounds with my staff nurses
under my supervision:
 Checking of IVF, regulate to it’s
appropriate rate, documenting the
level and assessing it’s site
 Assessing patient’s condition
9:25 – 9:45 AM Performing morning care to the designated
patients as well as initial V/S taking
9:45 – 10:05 AM Preparation o scheduled medications and
giving prescription pads for medications out

12:40 – 1:10 PM Assessment of patient’s condition, rendering 20 mins Staff Nurses Assessment was done at 12:40
specific care to designated patients & further PM

1:10 – 1:45 PM Transcribing SOAPIE charting 35 mins Staff Nurses Transcription was done and
started at 1:10 PM

1:45 – 2:00 PM V/S taking for 2PM and plotting for results in 15 mins Staff Nurses Vital signs was taken at 1:50
the patient’s chart PM

2:00 – 2:20 PM Checking of IVF level, I & O results for the 20 mins Staff Nurses Checking and obtaining
 entire course of shift results was done at 2:15 PM

2:20 – 2:40 PM Chart checking of handled patients to be sure 20 mins Head Nurse Checking of chart started at
that all forms have been filled up 2:20 PM

2:40 – 3:00 PM Counterchecking all the chart and handled 20 mins Head Nurse & Clinical Instructor Signing the charting done by
patients m staff nurses was completed
at 3:00 PM

4:00 – 4:30 PM Conducting to the official staff nurses of the 30 mins Head Nurse Endorsement finished at 4:30
hospital as well as student nurses for the Pm PM
shift

4:30 – 4:45 PM Post Conference: 30 mins Head Nurse Post Conference done at 4:40
