General information
If the battery is recharged, all sealing plugs must be removed before charging.
After charging, check acid level, correct if necessary.

Keep battery in a clean and dry place.


Batteries are filled with dilute sulfuric acid by the manufacturer.
Only use distilled water for replenishment.
Maintenance-free batteries cannot be refilled.

Check battery and cable connections

 Remove connection terminals.


 Clean battery poles (1) and connection terminals.
 Grease connection terminals with anti-acid grease.
 Mount connection terminals and tighten.

Ensure the connection terminals have good contact.

Test acid level

A2

 Unscrew closing caps (1) and remove.


 Visual inspection of acid level.
- without control inserts (2) - acid level 10 to 15 mm above plate upper edge
- with control inserts (2) - acid level up to their base

Test acid density

The temperature should be 20 °C when testing the acid density.

A3

 Measure acid density with acid tester.
