SAP SD INTRODUCTION

WHAT IS SAP?

SAP stands for Systems Applications Products in data processing. SAP is an ENTERPISE RESOURCES
PLANNING (ERP)AND Data Management. Program which is one of the world largest enterprise
software having approximate 25% market share in SCM (Supply Chain Management) market and
22% in ERP market. It is most flexible software according to need of the business. SAP has its main
products such as SAP ERP and SAP Business Objects Software. SAP ERP is firmly known as SAP R/3
Architecture. SAP Software has three-tier architecture: -

WHAT IS SAP SD?

SAP SD stands for Sales and Distribution. It is one of the most important modules for procurement of
the customer and. In this module customer and products configuration. Your understanding should
be Business Processes how its work not only configuration part.

SD module integrates with every other R/3 application including FI, CO, MM, PP, and so on. The SD
module is made up of multiple components. Here is a brief list of these: SD –MD = Master Data SD –
BF = Basic Functions subdivided into multiple components, such as pricing, output, and so on. SD –
SLS = Sales SD –SHP = Shipping SD –TBA = Transportation SD –FTT = Foreign Trade SD –BIL = Billing
SD –CAS = Sales support SD –EDI = Electronic Data Interchange SD –IS = Information System

SAP SD - SAP handles sales activities and distribution, also called shipping. The main activities

are the sales order handling, and the distribution of shipments to customers. Also, the billing

process, customer invoice, is handled from the SD module.

This course will give you a good and broad overview of SAP SD sales and distribution. You will

learn to perform the most important tasks in SAP sales. Here you will also learn about SD

standard reports in the SIS sales information system. The course focuses on tasks most
frequently used in SAP SD. The course is divided into these sections:

WHO CAN LEARN SAP?

For learning no qualification is required, it depends upon you. But to take a certification in SAP, you
should have at least graduation your education. Anyone can learn SAP SD whatever is you
background it’s doesn’t affect at all. If you have sales or logistics knowledge is very good but not
compulsory.
