I. OBJECTIVES
The learner demonstrates an understanding of economics as an applied science and its utility in addressing the economic problems of the country.
B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to analyse and propose solutions to the economic problems using the principles of applied economics.
C. Learning Competencies / Explain how applied economics can be used to solve economic problems.
Objectives.

II. CONTENT Chapter 1. Introduction to Applied Economics. 1.3. Basic economic problems and the Philippine socioeconomic development in the 21st century.

V. PROCEDURES
A. Introductory Activity ( 5 minutes).
I. Prayer ( 1 Minute )
II. Checking of Attendance ( 2 Minutes )
III. Classroom Management. The teacher will make the students arrange their chairs properly and clean their surroundings. ( 1 minute)
IV. Review of past lesson. The teacher will ask somebody to recap of the past lesson. ( 1 minute)
B. Activity/Strategy ICT ( 4-5 minutes) Slide show presentation. The video will present a recent situation on the war in Marawi City and in the evacuation centers in Iligan City.
C. Activity/Strategy Reporting ( 10 minutes ) The teacher will give a visual aids for their explanation on what are the economic problems that will arise in that particular situation on their own understanding.
D. Analysis Group Presentation ( 10 minutes). Each group will present their outputs on what they have come up. Each group should be acknowledge by a personalized clap.
E. Abstraction Concepts Discussion ( 5 minutes). The teacher will show a powerpoint presentation on what are the economic concepts that are applied on their outputs/explanations. Microeconomics
concepts like scarcity, resources and distribution are given emphasis.
F. Application Musical Performance. The teacher will group the students into four groups. They will be asked to make or create a jingle or song about the situation or people in Marawi City or in Iligan City.

Sometimes----- Group members can remember some of what they
practiced and are trying to perform with some vocal
technique, musicianship and timing. 2pts.

G. Agreement Short Answer Test. ( 5 minutes). The teacher will


give a short test for everyone. These following
questions will be asked:
1. Identify some economic problems in
your own locality, barangay, or town that needs
attention.
2. What are the possible solutions you will
be considering?
This will be passed on the next meeting.

V. REMARKS Indicate special cases including but not limited to continuation of lesson plan to the following day in case of re-teaching or lack of time, transfer of lesson to the following day, in cases of class
suspension, etc.
VI. REFLECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your student’s progress. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students learn? Identify what help your
instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant questions. Indicate below whichever is/are appropriate.
