During
Explicit Instruction –
Connection to Learning are coming to a part when you are sharing them with your
partners and are noticing that you want to add or change
significant details (can tailor to any writing craft) in your
piece.
So, today I want to teach you what the word revision
means. It has two parts. Re = again, Vision = to see. The
most important thing you do when you revise your writing is
to look at it again with new eyes. So, today I want to teach
to revise by rereading personal narratives to include
significant details.
Modeled Instruction Watch me as I reread this piece and look a section that may

Teacher rereads piece and uses post-its or circles to
highlight one or two area(s) to be revised. Then, teacher
revises highlighted areas by adding dialogue, small action,
