Flairwars Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy

This document seeks to establish and maintain a Code of Conduct for the members of Flairwars
on its social media properties, including Reddit and Discord. Users who participate in Flairwars
are assumed to accept this document and the rules laid out in the Flairwars Code of Conduct and
Social Media Policy (henceforth known as CoC SMP).

Article I. Ownership and administration

1. The r/flairwars subreddit, r/flairlaws subreddit and Discord Megaserver are the social
media property of the Flairwars Moderators.
2. Colour subreddits and Discord servers are the social media property of the respective
colour leadership; spin-off subreddits and Discord servers are the social media property
of the respective owners and moderators. The colour leadership and spin-off platform
owners and moderators will be referred to as “independent moderators”.
3. Moderation of the subreddits and Discord Megaserver will be maintained by the
Flairwars Moderators (and Mini moderators for the Discord Megaserver). Moderation of
the other affiliated subreddits and Discord servers will be maintained by independent
moderators.
a. In the absence of concrete rules in spin-off servers or subreddits, the moderators
of said platform are expected to enforce the CoC as the moderators of Flairwars
would enforce it. Moderators of other platforms are permitted to create their own
rules and then be exempt from the CoC, but this is discouraged. If these rules do
not cover moderation for a particular situation, the guidelines default back to the
CoC
Article II. The Responsible User Clause

1. The Responsible User Clause henceforth states that it is the responsibility of each user
to determine if something is offensive to them or makes them uncomfortable.
a. Users are tasked with asking an offender(s) to stop if they feel that the behavior
of that user is in violation of this document, or otherwise offensive.
b. If the offender(s) do not stop, it is up to the user to report the further action to
the Flairwars Moderators via a Discord or Reddit Private Message, an
@ notification over discord (henceforth known as Pinging), or using the -report
command (with the syntax ~report @offender reason) on the incident.
i. Any online moderator (or Mini Moderator for Discord, or independent
moderators for their platforms) should make themselves open and
available to answer the notification of CoC SMP violation.
ii. If the user is not able to report on the violation while it is in progress,
some form of documentation of the incident (screenshots, pictures, video,
audio, etc.) should be made available to the Flairwars Moderators and will
be subject to review by the Flairwars Moderators.
2. Moderators and Mini moderators can overturn the reports at their discretion.

Article III. The Flairwars Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy

1. The following guidelines are to be upheld by all members of Flairwars. Failure to adhere
to these guidelines will be considered a violation and may result in a loss of access to all
the Flairwars platforms, and may result in further disciplinary actions depending on the
severity and nature of the violation. Violations will be considered in all formats
