the #YouthUp: Rising for the Youth and Cebu, the 2nd Cebuano Youth Ambassador Summit, which will be

Greetings!

Cebuano Youth Ambassadors (CYA) is a Securities and Exchange Commission and the National Youth Commission’s
youth-led non-stock, non – profit and youth led non –government organization based in Cebu. Recognized by former
President Benigno Aquino III through the TAYO Foundation as one of the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations and
a National Coke Barkada Awardee in 2012, CYA has been known as an organization that offers an experiential leadership
experience to Cebuano youth that champions grassroots programs and advocacy/policy recommendations on
environment, health, education, culture, and the arts. CYA’s vision is to make Cebu a community of young leaders and
make the youth the center of Cebu’s development. Its mission is to connect and empower young leaders of Cebu in
strengthening communities by providing them with opportunities/linkages and champion advocacies that will protect
and defend young people’s rights and welfare.

This year, Cebuano Youth Ambassadors Inc. together with JCI Mandaue, Inc. gather theTOP 100 MOST
PASSIONATE YOUNG LEADERS IN CEBU through a platform and a youth engagement program dubbed as Barkada
Camp Out V1.0 Inspire Empower and Lead. It’s an engaging 3-day camp that foster rich interaction on youth leadership
and empowerment that brings out the best of Cebuano Youth. It will feature panel discussions and solution-oriented
workshops. The camp aims to;

● Improved appreciation and increased roles of the Cebuano Youth about /towards SDGs and other youth and
community issues.
● 100 More empowered young leaders, trained and capacitated with skills development trainings such us
leadership and teambuilding , communications for advocacy , project management and impact assessment
● Creation of a Youth Network with a shared work plan/agenda to support the delivery of SDGs in Cebu
● Aspirations of the youth documented, declared and disseminated at local levels to be recommended for
incorporation with local development policies.
● Recognition of the 2nd BISAYA (Bida sa Youth Advocacies) and 2nd CYA Leadership Excellence Awards.

Our organization can hardly augment the meager amount that we need to realize this youth empowering initiative,
and this is the reason why we collect a registration fee of P 1,000 from the participants to cover the over-all costs.
One of the young leaders in Cebu that was selected is MARY LANCE DELA CRUZ and he was chosen after a rigorous
screening involving paper evaluation and phone interview.

We believe that Cebu will never run out of people willing to share and invest on the youth. We humbly request your
benevolent support to sponsor the registration of the said youth leader. Your assistance to this cause will surely go a
long way and you will be considered as one of the donors of the said camp.
