ALCOHOLISM,DRUG ADDICTION, AND SEX EDUCATION

This is my own understanding and reaction about alcoholism,drug addiction, and sex
education. Alcoholism Around the world, alcohol is abused by millions of people.
Alcoholism is often misunderstood by people who simply drink to converse. Obviously,
this is not the correct way to define alcoholism. According to dictionary.com, it is
considered a disease in which a human drinks alcohol frequently and depends on it.
They will not know or understand when to stop, even while knowing what effects it can
cause, such as health. Not only health, but other things in life can be affected by alcohol
abuse as well, such as family life and your faith, and ones health. One of the key factors
that affect the usage of people to alcohol is the commercial on televisions this temps the
people to try the one that they are advertising and temp the children when they watch it
on the television.

Drug addiction is a social evil. It has been prevalent in society from time immemorial.
There are a variety of drugs which are used in various forms. A drug addict becomes a
drug dependent. He cannot live without drugs. It is a form of psychological conditioning
that implies a set of mental and behavioural responses to drugs and related stimuli that
result from repeated reinforcement produced by the use of drugs.

It implies physical, psychological and psychic dependence on the tolerance of a drug

with a tendency to take more and more drugs. The World Health Organisation has
defined drug abuse as a state of periodic, chronic intoxication, detrimental to the
individual and to the society, produced by repeated consumption of drugs either natural
or synthetic. In other words, the growing urge results in increase of doses.

There are a number of causes which lead to drug addiction. These include social,
economic, religious, and physiological factors. There is a strong nexus between drug
and torn family life. It has been found that broken family structure often forces one to
resort to drug. This is because a person faced with such situation chooses drug for its
euphoric or mind-altering effect to escape from the immediate situation.

Sex education.Many sexually active teens are never educated on the dangers of unprotected sex,
because their schools do not teach this kind of education. Could changing this lead to less
sexually transmitted infections or teenage pregnancy. Teaching options could ensure more safety
to teenagers. Should sex education be taught in public schools in the United States, and if so,
what kind of education is the best choice for today’s teenagers. There are three basic types of sex
education. The most widely spoken about and taught is called abstinence based sex education.
When the people are not been teach about he sex education there going to be many cases of
sexually transmitted diseases and the population of the people will be in rapid growth and the
world we are living are going tobe over populated and chaos are one of the factor that will face
and that is all of my understanding and reaction about this topic.
