IV. Rationale

One of the major goals of the 2017 Education for All (EFA) is the expansion of the coverage
and improvement of the quality of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) programs in
the country. The Districts in SDO-San Carlos supports this thrust and in compliance of the DepEd
Order No. 57, s. 2007 entitled “Guidelines on Hiring and Deployment of Pre-School Teachers” will
conduct “DISTRICT - INSET for PRESCHOOL TEACHERS’ TRAINING 2017” on May 13-14,
2017 at the Central I Elementary School, Roxas Boulevard, San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

V. Objectives
The objectives of this training are the following:
1. Increase the teaching competence in Early Childhood Education.
2. Obtain the required number of units as prescribed in DepEd Order No.57, s. 2007
3. Prepare instructional materials and other didactic materials for preschool assessment and
activities.

VI. Training Description of the Program


a. The training is for the preschool teacher to expand the coverage and improvement of
the quality of early Childhood Care and Development programs in the SDO-San Carlos
through effective training.
b. The training duration will be 16 hours.
