Na primeira parte deste artigo, o autor resgata a trajetória de John Wesley, desde a educação recebida em casa até a criação
da Kingswood School. A proliferação das intituições metodista de ensino também é alvo de comentários, bem como a
diversidade cultural observada nos dias de hoje. A partir daí, o que se vê são informações sobre as origens, os objetivos e
as conferências internacionais da Associação Internacional de Escolas, Faculdades e Universidades Metodistas (IAMSCU).

Synopsis
In the first part of this article, the author reports on the life of John Wesley, since the education received at home up to the
creation of Kingswood School. The spread of Methodist teaching institutions is also the subject of comments, as well as
the cultural diversity observed nowadays. Based on that, we are given information about the origins, the purposes and
the international conferences of the International Association of Methodist Schools, Colleges and Universities (IAMSCU).
