Units Affected: T2 terminal tractors equipped with VeeCAN 320 monitoring system.

Possible Situation: Prior to connecting Cummins Insite™ it is recommended to disable the

VeeCAN system to keep from interfering with the engine ECM.

Solution: This technical information bulletin provides ‘how to’ instructions for disabling the
VeeCAN system prior to connecting Cummins Insite™. Failure to do so will create inaccurate
parameters or false fault codes because InSite parameter changes requires cycling ignition key
to save engine parameters.

Disabling the VeeCAN 320 monitoring system:

 With T2 ignition system in off position, remove the 4 mounting screws retaining the
ignition panel from the dash console to gain access to the backside Deutsch connectors.
 Disconnect the Primary 12 pin Deutsch connector from the VeeCAN display.

 You are now ready to connect Cummins Insite™.

 Once engine parameters have been modified and saved with ignition key in off position,
reconnect the Primary Deutsch connector to the VeeCAN display.
 Initiate ignition key power on and confirm VeeCAN monitoring display powers up.
Reinstall VeeCAN display and ignition panel to the dash console with the 4 screws.

Note: When the ignition key is turned to the off or cycled, VeeCAN defaults back to the original
setting.
