 Founded the Bol-anong Artista nga may Diwang Dagohoy (BANSIWAG) Cultural Network on Nov. 30, 2010.
Bansiwag has nine youth cultural group members aside from individual members. It is a member of Sining na
Naglilingkod sa Bayan (SINAGBAYAN – a national organization of cultural workers, theater artists, poets,
musicians, writers and visual artists aiming to create and popularize people's arts and literature drawn from
direct integration with the people.) Cultural performances of Bansiwag depict the life, struggle and
aspirations for genuine social change of farmers, workers, fisherfolks, youth, women and other marginalized
sectors.
 Since he founded Bansiwag, Alvin has already facilitated 13 Basic Integrated Arts Workshop (BITAW) in Bohol
and 6 in Negros and Cebu. He is also the main trainer of these workshops. Most of these workshops were
conducted during summer and long holidays.
 Develops BITAW trainers through Bansiwag’s Training of Trainors program
 Spearheads the bi-annual Renga sa Kultura (competition/showcase of youth cultural performances in Bohol)
organized by Bansiwag
 Led the Alayon, a special project of Bansiwag that responds to natural calamities like the 7.2 magnitude
earthquake that hit Bohol in October 15, 2013. Members of the group volunteered to assist in the rebuilding
of houses in areas badly affected by the quake.
 Delegate to the National Conference on People’s Culture during NCCA’s Tanghal 10 flagship project in
Escalante, Negros Occidental (Sept. 15-18, 2016)
 Participant, SIGWA National Festival of People’s Art and Literature, Celebrating the Resurgence of Filipino
Culture and Identity (Jan. 30-31, 2019, College of Fine Arts in UP Diliman)
 He accepted the offer to become Bohol’s provincial coordinator of Anakpawis Partylist as volunteer because
he believes that the legitimate interests of the people whom Bansiwag’s art served can be further advanced
through electing genuine people’s representatives in Congress
