BMS College of Architecture is one of the pioneering institutions for architectural learning
in the state and the country. Located in the heart of the city, BMSCA is affiliated to the
Visveswaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and has been the
forerunner in architectural education for the past 39 years. It continues the tradition of
nurturing and promoting individualistic values in aspiring architects and designers. The
strength of BMSCA is the academically well-qualified faculty with specializations in
diverse fields of architecture, persistently striving to improve the standards of architectural
schooling. Approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi, it also possesses state of the
art facilities and infrastructure of required standards for the students. The campus offers an
environment ideal for stimulating discourses on architecture and other related disciplines,
hands on approach to the academic curriculum, research-oriented creative thinking and
the multitude of areas that fall under the broad umbrella of architectural thinking that hones
the BMSCA family into being better architects, designers and ultimately socially
responsible citizens.

BMSCA promotes students and members of the faculty alike to take part in design
competitions as well as in publishing research work in journals of national and international
repute. The students of the college have been participating and receiving numerous
awards in national and international design competitions, conferences, seminars,
workshops, technical paper presentations, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
winning laurels to the college. The research culture of BMSCA is exemplified in some of its
own publications that are released annually. BMSCA also has a consultancy cell that offers
comprehensive architectural services conducting joint ventures with both governmental
and non-governmental organizations for various projects.

At B M S COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE (BMSCA)
,we intend to create an environment conducive to
the growth of prospective architects, designers and
academicians. We are one of the oldest recognized
institutions in the region that imparts architectural
education and have been established as such for the
last thirty nine years.
The programmes that are offered at BMSCA include
a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, a Master’s
degree in Habitat Design and a Doctoral Programme
in Architecture. The college also conducts a wide
range of short term courses as well as workshops
from time to time. Our aim is to encourage the
students and the faculty to sharpen their skills at
becoming independent designers and thinkers.
