Professional Purposes (EAPP)

Opening Prayer

Agenda: Instructional Materials and Strategies:

1. Number Heads Together:


a) Divide the students into groups of four and give each one a number from one to
four.
b) Pose a question or a problem to the class.
c) Have students gather to think about the question and to make sure everyone in
their group understands and can give an answer.
d) Ask the question and call out a number randomly.
e) The students with that number raise their hands, and when called on, the student
answers for his or her team.

2. Socratic Group Discussion


a) Students sit in a circle so that all members can see and respond to each other.
The open-ended question is restated. Using their notes as support, students
enter the discussion responding to the initial question.

3. Lecture Method
1. In this teaching method a large amount the topics can be covered in a single
class period.
2. Using of this method exclude the using of any equipment or Lab.
3. Learning material is not required.
4. Student listening skills developed.
5. Logical arrangement of the material in order to present it orally
6. Help to learn languages

4. Reporting Method
a) Aims to provide students with information in a direct way and in uninterrupted
manner. The student-reporters act like an authority of the topics assigned to
them. REPORTING METHOD
b) It is one-shot activity. One student or more may report at a time in succession.
The teacher makes follow-up and additional inputs if needed.
c) It is highly cognitive. The aim of the activity is to be able to deliver factual
information about a topic.
d) It is a student-centered approach. When a student is assigned to report, he or
she has to collect, organize and share certain information.

5. Multimedia projection through the use of LED Television


a) This has been proven as an effective strategy because undeniably, learners,
nowadays, are digitally-oriented individuals and this is a clear way of coping their
21st century needs.
b) Learners’ attention is often caught up with interesting features of the lesson as
aided by the hyperlink, transitions, and animations. And of course, various
guidelines in preparation and evaluation of instructional materials must be
observed

6. Speech Choir Presentation


a) This is an effective way as it brings forth a concrete application on the macro
skills of the learners particularly on listening and speaking skills.
b) The learners can also build up and boost their self-esteem in dealing with a huge
crowd as they perform in front of them.
