INTRODUCTORY RITES

Commentator: My brothers and sisters in Christ, the

Sacrament of Matrimony which we will witness today as
MIKHAIL and APPLE confer this sacrament of union on
each other, exalt and make divine the human love
which is the noblest element in our lives.

MIKHAIL and APPLE through this sacrament will no

longer love each other as two human beings. Their love
will be transfigured and will participate in God’s own
love. This love which attracts them to each other and
urges them to give up themselves for other’s sake will be
made divine. Let us pray at this Holy Eucharist, that the
Lord may bless their union and fill them with His eternal
love, joy and peace; and that their fidelity to one
another may truly be a symbol of Christ’s love for His
church.

Let us all stand as we greet the bridal entourage.

Procession of the Bridal Entourage

Singing of the Entrance Hymn

Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.

Priest: May the grace and the peace of the Lord

Jesus Christ and the love of God and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you
always.
All: And with your spirit.

Priest: God is love and has in some mysterious

ways drawn you, MIKHAIL and APPLE,
together in love, but He leaves you free to
make that love grow or let it wither or die.
The Lord will help you to forge a future for
your love if you do your share, when you
stand for the commitment to love and
honor one another in good times and in
bad, in poverty and in plenty, in sickness
and in health, for better or for worse, in that
covenant which you are about to seal.

*The priest sprinkles them with holy water.

Then he intones the Gloria.

Gloria: Glory to God in the highest,

and on earth peace to people of good will.
We praise you,
we bless you,
we adore you,
we glorify you,
we give you thanks for your great glory,
Lord God, heavenly King,
O God, almighty Father.
Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son,
Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,
you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us;
you take away the sins of the world,
receive our prayer;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father,
have mercy on us.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father.
Amen.

OPENING PRAYER

Priest: O God, who since the beginning of the world have

blessed the increase of offspring, show favor to our
supplications and pour forth the help of your blessing on
these your servants, MIKHAIL and APPLE, so that in union of
Marriage they may be bound together with mutual
affection, in likeness of mind, and in shared holiness.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and
reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for
ever and ever.

All: Amen

Commentator: Let us all be seated as we listen to the

word of God.

LITURGY OF THE WORD

First Reading

Reader: A reading from the Book of Genesis 1:26-28, 31a

Then God said:

“Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness.
Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
the birds of the air, and the cattle,
and over all the wild animals and
all the creatures that crawl on the ground.”

God created man in his image;

in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
God blessed them, saying:
“Be fertile and multiply;
fill the earth and subdue it.
Have dominion over the fish of the sea,
the birds of the air, and all the living things
that move on the earth.”
God looked at everything he had made, and he found
it very good.

The Word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm Psalm 118: 24,1-2,16-17,22-23

Reader: Let our response be:

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be
glad.”

All: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice
and be glad.”

Reader: Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,

for his mercy endures forever. Let the house of Israel say,
"His mercy endures forever."

All: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice
and be glad.”
Reader: "The right hand of the LORD has struck with
power; the right hand of the LORD is exalted.
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the
LORD.

"All: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice
and be glad.”

Reader: The stone which the builders rejected has

become the cornerstone. By the LORD has this been
done; it is wonderful in our eyes.

All: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice
and be glad.”

Second Reading 1 Corinthians 12:31-13:8a

Reader: A reading from the first Letter of Saint Paul to the

Corinthians

Brothers and sisters:

Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts.
But I shall show you a still more excellent way.
If I speak in human and angelic tongues
but do not have love,
I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.
And if I have the gift of prophecy
and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge;
if I have all faith so as to move mountains
but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give away everything I own,
and if I hand my body over so that I may boast
but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, is not pompous,
it is not inflated, it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the
truth.
It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
The word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

Commentator: Let us all rise to honor the Holy Gospel.

Gospel Acclamation: (singing of Alleluia)

GOSPEL READING

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

Priest: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to

Mark 10:6-9.

All: Glory to you, O Lord.

Priest: 6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made

them male and female.” 7 ‘For this reason a man will
leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,[b]
8 and the two will become one flesh. So they are no
longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has
joined together, let no one separate.”
The Gospel of the Lord.

All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Commentator: Please be seated for the homily.

BLESSING AND GIVING OF RINGS AND ARRHAE

Priest: MIKHAIL and APPLE, we shall now bless the

rings and arrhae which symbolize the vows
you have taken.

Let us pray.

Lord, bless the rings, which we bless in your

name. Grant that MIKHAIL and APPLE, who
will wear them may always have deep
faith in each other. May they do your will
and always live together in peace,
goodwill, mutual love and unbroken
loyalty. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

All: Amen.

Priest: Let us pray.

Bless, O Lord, your children, MIKHAIL and

APPLE, with sufficiency of material
possessions for their needs and those of
their children, and for sharing with those in
need. May they use their possession to
serve You well and thus attain eternal life.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

All: Amen.

Priest: Now give this ring to one another and say

after me:
*The groom takes the bride’s ring from the priest and puts
it on the bride’s ring finger saying after the priest.

Groom: APPLE, wear this ring as a sign of my love

and loyalty. In the name of the Father, and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

*The bride takes the groom’s ring from the priest and puts
it on the groom’s ring finger saying

Bride: MIKHAIL, wear this ring as a sign of my love

and loyalty. In the name of the Father, and

them wholeheartedly with love and
appreciation. And promise to be a good
steward of the manifold blessing God will
bestow on us and our family. In the name
of the Father, and of the Son and of the

reflect their union with Christ.

For every petition, let our response be:

“Lord, keep us in your love.”

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

to this world with unconditional love,
support and guidance. That they may
continue to be instruments of God’s loving
care to the members of their families. Let us
pray to the Lord.

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

Reader: For all the sponsors and witnesses, who

blessed this union with prayers, that they
may be showered with good health,
peace of mind and harmony in their
families. Let us pray to the Lord.

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

Reader: For all those who are here, that we may all
continue to share in the joys and sorrows of
MIKHAIL and APPLE. Let us pray to the Lord.

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

Reader: For MIKHAIL and APPLE, now beginning

their life together, that they may have
divine assistance at every moment and the
constant support of family and friends. Let
us pray to the Lord.

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

Reader: That their hearts may be united forever,

protect them from the deceits of
temptation, lighten their burdens, and
fortify them in their trials. Let us pray to the
Lord.

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

Reader: For the sick and those who suffer: May they
discover the healing presence of Christ in
their lives. We pray

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

Reader: Let us now pray for our personal intentions.

(pause for a while) Let us pray to the Lord.

All: “Lord, keep us in your love.”

NUPTIAL BLESSING

Priest: Holy Father, maker of the whole world, who created

man and woman in your own image and willed that their
union be crowned with your blessing, we humbly beseech
you for these your servants, who are joined today in the
Sacrament of Matrimony.

May your abundant blessing, Lord, come down upon this

bride, APPLE and upon MIKHAIL her companion for life, and
may the power of your Holy Spirit set their hearts aflame from
on high, so that, living out together the gift of
Matrimony, they may adorn their family with children and
enrich the Church.

In happiness may they praise you, O Lord, in sorrow may

they seek you out; may they have the joy of your presence
to assist them in their toil, and know that you are near to
comfort them in their need; let them pray to you in the holy
assembly and bear witness to you in the world, and after a
happy old age, together with the circle of friends that
surrounds them, may they come to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

Commentator: Cord and Veil Sponsors may now

come forward to remove the symbols from the couple.

Please be seated for the Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist.

May we request all offerers and the principal sponsors to
please prepare for the offertory procession.
LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

Presentation of the Gifts

*The Couple receives the gifts from the offerers and

gives it to the Priest

Singing of the Offertory Song

Priest: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,

through your goodness we have this bread
we offer you: fruit of the earth and work of
human hands, it will become for us the
Bread of life.

All: Blessed be God forever.

Priest: Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation.

Through Your goodness we have this wine
to offer, fruit of the vine and work of human
hands, it will become our spiritual drink.

All: Blessed be God forever.

Commentator: Please stand.

Priest: Pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice

and yours may be acceptable to God,
Almighty Father.

All: May the Lord accept the sacrifice of our

hands for the praise and glory of His name,
for our good and the good of all His Holy
Church.

Priest: Lord, accept our offerings for this newly

married couple MIKHAIL and APPLE, by
your love and providence, you have
brought them together. Now bless them all
the days of their married life. We ask this
through Christ, our Lord.

All: Amen.

EUCHARISTIC PRAYER

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

Priest: Lift up your hearts.

All: We lift them up to the Lord.

Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All: It is right and just.

Priest: It is truly right and just, our duty and our

salvation, always and everywhere to give
you thanks, Lord, Holy Father, almighty
and eternal God.

For you willed that the human race,

created by the gift of your
goodness, should be raised to such high
dignity that in the union of husband and
wife you might bestow a true image of
your love.

For those you created out of charity you

call to the law of charity without ceasing
and grant them a share in your eternal
charity.

And so, the Sacrament of holy

Matrimony, as the abiding sign of your
own love, consecrates the love of man
and woman,
through Christ our Lord.

Through him, with the Angels and all the

Saints, we sing the hymn of your praise, as
without end we acclaim:

Holy: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts.

Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of
the Lord. Hosanna in the highest

Commentator: All please kneel until the Great Amen.

Priest: You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of

all holiness. Make holy, therefore, these
gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit
upon them like the dewfall, so that they
may become for us the Body and Blood
of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

At the time he was betrayed and entered

willingly into his Passion, he took bread
and, giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to
his disciples, saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT, FOR

THIS IS MY BODY, WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR
YOU.

In a similar way, when supper was ended,

he took the chalice and, once more
giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples,
saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM
IT, FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL
COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT
FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THE
FORGIVE NESS OF SINS.

DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

Priest: Let us proclaim the mystery of faith.

Memorial Acclamation:
(1) We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and
profess your Resurrection until you come
again.

Priest: Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of

His death and Resurrection, we offer you,
Lord, the Bread of Life and the Chalice of
salvation, giving thanks that you have held
us worthy to be in your presence and
minister to you.

Humbly we pray that, partaking of the

body and blood of Christ, we may be
gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.

Remember, Lord, your Church, spread

throughout the world, and bring her to the
fullness of charity, together with Francis our
Pope and Antonio our Bishop and all the
clergy.

Be mindful also, Lord, of MIKHAIL and

APPLE, whom you have brought to their
wedding day, so that by your grace they
may abide in mutual love and in peace.
Remember also our brothers and sisters
who have fallen asleep in the hope of the
resurrection, and all who have died in your
mercy: welcome them into the light of your
face. Have mercy on us all, we pray, that
with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of
God, with the blessed Joseph, her spouse,
with the blessed apostles, and all the Saints
who have pleased you throughout the
ages,

We may merit to be coheirs to eternal life,

and may praise and glorify you through
your Son, Jesus Christ.

Through Him, and with Him, and in Him, O

God, Almighty Father, in the unity of the
Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours,
forever and ever.

Great Amen: AMEN, AMEN, AMEN (to be sung)

Commentator: Please all stand

never let me be parted from You.

This is the Lamb of God who takes away the

sins of the world. Happy are those who are
called to His supper.
