Finance term papers are papers in which the writer has to write informatively
and descriptively regarding any financial issue. The financial issues can be about the
economy of a country or an organization, the fiscal policies and principles set by a
country or an organization, the money consumed in products selling and buying, the
issues related to economics, the monetary capacity of an institution, taxes and
incomes involved and other financial issues. For writing a financial term paper, the
students have to indicate in the introduction the topic for which they are writing.
They also have to introduce fully the main argument of their financial term paper in
their introduction. A good introduction makes an initial impression about the quality
of your finance term paper. Give headings in your financial term paper where
appropriate. The headings will make your term paper a presentable one. Divide your
term paper into sections and justify your arguments and ideas that are relevant to the
topic of your finance term paper. Always give proper references when using some

Chapter # 1 (Write this chapter in present tense)
Introduction
1.1 Background (pages 1-2)
Introduction of study along with its origin, history and background, Introduce the topic support
of references as ascending order. Also write the introduction of company, organization, sector or
industry, where you are going to conduct the research. But your main focus should be on topic.
Describe each variable in this part.

1.2 Problem Identification/ Broad Problem Area (2 pages)

Scholar has to identify the problem where the actual problem existing theoretically as well as
practically, as we have discussed in the class how to identify the problem, I mean built a story by
three different ways 1) Find the gap from literature with proper references (future directions/
limitations of updated papers specially from 2013 onward papers); 2) built the local scenario of
your target sector or companies where is the actual gap by comparing the literature and 3) compare
the current situation of your particular sector or company with globe and then write situation of
Pakistan regarding your topic. This is the very important part of your study (backbone of your
research)

1.3 Problem Statement

Write the actual problem in one or two sentences drive from the problem identification.

1.4 Objectives of the Study

Write two to three objectives of you r research which start from “to”

1.5 Significance of the Study (1 pages)

Discuss the importance/worth/rationale of the study, who will be the beneficiaries of this work,
what will be the practical implications, how this study will contribute in your particular area of
sector.

Chapter # 2 (7-8 pages)

Literature Review (Write this chapter in past tense, almost use second form)

2.1 Introductory Literature

In this part explain your study variables by the support of references, I mean bombard this part
with references. Running text references should be as (Aurther, 2009: 23 page); author name,
year of publication and page numbers if feel convenient.

2.2 Empirical literature

Describe the relationship among the variables from previous studies.

2.3 Theoretical framework

Draw a picture which shows the dependent and independent variables relationship and put the
sign (+ or -) on arrows on the bases of literature review.

At the end of the literature review before theoretical framework you have to write the summery of
the literature how many variables are used and what relationship was found from the literature.

2.4 Hypotheses Statements (If Possible at this stage)

Draw the hypotheses on the bases of literature review. What relationship was found by previous
researches and then your assumptions/hypotheses will be in line of previous studies.

Chapter 2 Literature review in term paper you have to write about one page
of each variable heading wise
Literature must be relevant to the variables of the study. Give proper headings of each
variable and relationship with dependent variable. Write literature rationally,
thematically, and in chronological order. The Hypotheses should be developed in the
light of reviewed and cited literature. Research Model/Theoretical
framework/Conceptual Framework should be after literature. Develop hypotheses and
write after the model. Also provide description of your model.
