Professional Summary

As professional professor and interpreter, I have completed the three levels of education available in
my country for professional musicians, graduating as a contrabass player and Bachelor of Arts, at the
Superior Institute of Arts (ISA) in Havana, Cuba, reaching high qualifications. Committed to my
work, I’m able to teach double bass, elementary piano, history and music theory, as well as chamber
music, throughout the different styles of classical and contemporary popular music, in genres such as
Jazz, Latin American and Caribbean Music, providing its students with a global knowledge of
universal music. More than 9 years of experience in music pedagogy has served to develop my proven
ability to work with students from the most basic levels to their principles at the professional level. In
the effort to optimize learning efficiency, it is worth noting the use of creative teaching methods and
adaptable to each student, always based on the solid technical practice approved by the German,
Russian and French schools, acquired in their school years and professional practices. I’m an accurate
believer of the importance of the promotion and formation of cultural and intellectual values ,along
the spiritual and cognitive enrichment that artistic learning provides. I also worked as an
instrumentalist working with several Cuban Symphony Orchestras such as the Camagüey
Symphony Orchestra and the Matanzas Symphony Orchestra, currently serving as an entertainer at
the Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island Hotel in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Arabs United.
