2.2 Cabinet Configuration

OUT50M cabinet dimensions are 1054 mm x 810 mm x 520 mmHeight x Width x Depth.
It is coated in the color of grey and consists of a cabinet cover, a main equipment frame,
a distribution frame, a battery frame and pole-mounting structural element.

Standard cabinet configuration consists of one subscriber access unit (six subscriber
card slots, two control switching card slots, two uplink card slots, two power card slots,
one fan unit and an independent power environment monitor system), one 24AH/38AH
battery group, one power distribution box, one optical fiber splicing plate (optional) and
a necessary MDF.

Figure 2-2 shows a typical configuration of OUT50M cabinet.

2.3 Ventilation Principle

OUT50M cabinet dissipates heat through the forceful ventilation performed by the top fan.
Cool air comes in through the 1U high inlet located between the main equipment area and
the battery frame, flows through the OUT50M plugin box and blows out through the outlet
under the sun-proof cover. The fan works to inhale outside cool air and exhale inside
heated air thus accomplish heat dissipation and ensure normal operation for the whole
cabinet.
Figure 2-3 shows the OUT50M air ventilation.
