To Whom It May Concern,

The letter acts as a request for the scholarship abroad

and with this document, I submit rest of the application. I am
currently an archaeology Ph.D. student at the University of South
Bohemia in České Budějovice, absolving the second year.

I am applying for this scholarship due to several reasons.

First, my doctoral thesis with the title: „Prehistoric burial mounds
in Southern Balkans: A case study of Pelagonia” is about
studying and understanding a phenomenon occurring on the
territory of the Republic of North Macedonia, my home. Even
though I have the opportunity to study and upgrade my
knowledge here, in the Czech Republic, still for conducting the
thesis project I need to gain some data from a surface
observation and survey and also from the accessible databases
which are located in the Archaeology Department at the
University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and the relevant
institutions like local museums and institutes for protection of the
cultural heritage. This requires some financial support which I
could not get last year from the faculty because of I was in a
combined form of studies (see document no. 3). From this month
my status was changed as a full-time student, but still I can not
apply for financial support/grant because regularly all deadlines
are until October or November. The need for this collection of
the data and creation of one full database was several times
referred to as a problem in a few of my conference presentations
and in my master thesis which was also referring to these
mounds (for details please check my academia.edu account).
These first steps into my project are not just important for
conducting the thesis, but also for building deeper ties and
creating a field for inter-university and international cooperation.
