CALL FOR RESEARCH PAPERS

Submission of Abstract

The Program Committee accepts original abstract of studies from authors(PRC

registered nurses) for research presentations. Abstract should be submitted electronically
via email: philippinenursesassociation@yahoo.com.ph. Deadline for submission is 16
September 2016.

Please submit your abstract (between 300-500 words only) to the Convention
Secretariat via email: philippinenursesassociation@yahoo.com.ph, using the attached
Abstract form. For additional details, kindly refer to the attached guidelines for the
poster presentation.

Notification of Acceptance

 Abstract will be reviewed by the Research Technical Review Committee (panel).

 The panel shall make a final evaluation of the poster paper being presented.
 The poster paper shall be evaluated according to the following criteria:

a. Problem Statement (20%)

b. Methodology (30%)
c. Results and Conclusion (20%)
d. Over-all importance of the study (30%)

 The corresponding author will be notified by email. If you have not received
notification by 30 September 2016, please contact the Convention Secretariat at
philippinenursesassociation@yahoo.com.ph.

Registration

All presenters of accepted abstracts must be registered for the convention. The authors
must register on or before 30 September 2016. The rate will be pre-registration fee of
P4,500.00.

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

 The Presenter shall do a 15-minute Oral Presentation of his/her paper.

 There will be given a 5 minutes open forum for questions and comments
 Presenters should be registered to the Convention

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

To ensure order in the presentation of research posters, the following guidelines

will be strictly observed:

 The presenter will print their own poster for the approved abstracts following the
poster size of 2.5ft by 4ft (portrait orientation)
 All approved posters will be issued tracking numbers which will be used locate
the poster board in the exhibit area.
 Poster display boards will be located in a designated area of the convention
venue.
 Posters will be displayed from 8:00 a.m. on 17 October 2016 and will be
removed on 19 October 2016 at the end of the Conference.
 Additional materials for poster hanging will be provided in the poster exhibit
area (glue, thumbtacks, staples).
 Respect the original structure of the abstract (introduction, methods, results,
analysis, and discussions), references can be added.
 Limit the number of graphics (charts, tables, pictures) to three and ensure that
they can be easily understood. All graphics should be in .jpg or .png extension
format.
 Authors are invited to stand by their poster during breaks (lunch, snack, and
coffee) to discuss further details of their study.
 Authors are encouraged to prepare a one-page handout of their study (including
full contact information) to be distributed to interested participants, so that they
can get in touch with them even after the conference.
 For abstracts with more than one author, the presenting author will be
considered the contact person.
 Authors should be registered to the convention.
