SPA FRASES DE TIPO CONDICIONAL

- Hay principalmente cinco tipos de frase condicional, y si tienes


que completar o traducir una frase de este tipo, lo primero que
deberías hacer es dividir en dos la frase. Una parte contendrá la
palabra IF (si) y su correspondiente verbo, y la otra parte otro
verbo.
- (Nota,ten en cuenta también, que algunas frases de tipo
condicional pueden contener la palabra UNLESS (a menos que) en
lugar de IF.)
- Toma nota del TIEMPO del verbo dado, y apréndate de memoria las
siguientes fórmulas para poder completar ó traducir la frase.

TIPOS DE FRASE CONDICIONAL

1) If he comes, I give him a drink.


IF + presente simple // presente simple

Si él viene, le doy algo de beber.


(Si + presente simple // presente simple en español)

2) If he comes, I will give him a drink. (FIRST CONDITIONAL)


IF + presente simple // futuro simplea (Sujeto WILL infin)

Si él viene, le daré algo de beber.


(Si + presente simple // futuro simple en español)

3) If he comes, give him a drink.


IF + presente simple // imperativo

Si él viene, dale algo de beber.


(Si + presente simple // imperativo en español)

4) If he came, I would give him a drink. (SECOND CONDITIONAL)


IF + pasado simple // condicional (sujeto WOULD infin)

** Si el verbo que acompaña IF es el verbo TO BE, se pone WERE con


todas las personas
Si él viniera/viniese, le daría algo de beber.
(Si + pasado del subjuntivo // condicional en español)

5) If he had come, I would have given him a drink.
IF + pluscuamperfecto // condicional perfecto
(sujeto HAD + part. Pasado) // sujeto WOULD HAVE +
part.pas.
Si él hubiera/hubiese venido, le habría dado algo de
beber.
(Si + perfecto subjuntivo // condicional perfecto en
español)

THE CONDITIONAL TENSE (el condicional)

(In the affirmative, the short form of I WOULD, YOU WOULD etc is:
I'd, you'd, he'd, she'd, it'd, we'd, you'd, they'd (followed by the INFINITIVE)

examples:

affirmative: I would buy a house in the country.


negative: Peter wouldn't ride a horse at his age.
interrogative: Would they go to Greece by plane?
questions in the negative: Wouldn't those boys like an ice-cream?

(In the affirmative, the short form of I HAD, YOU HAD etc is also:
I'd, you'd, he'd, she'd, it'd, we'd, you'd, they'd (but it is followed by the
PAST PARTICIPLE, not by the infinitive.)

examples:

affirmative: I had bought a house in the country.


negative: Peter hadn't ridden a horse at his age.
interrogative: Had they gone to Greece by plane?
questions in the negative: Hadn't those boys eaten an ice-cream?
