1.1 T h i s s p e c i f i c a t i o n c o v e r s t h e r e q u i r e m e n t s f o r c o n c r e t e ( p l a i n and r e i n f o r c e d ) f o r s m a l l works a s s o c i a t e d
w i t h p i p e l i n e s , r o a d s , r a i l w a y s , pump s t a t i o n s , e t c . I t covers the b a s i c materials, t h e p l a n t d i d
formwork r e q u i r e d , t h e q u a l i t y , m a n u f a c t u r e , arid c u r i n g o f c o n c r e t e , t o l e r a n c e s i n workmanship, t e s t i n g ,
and t h e methods by which t h e f i n i s h e d s t r u c t u r e i s t o b e measured f o r t h e p u r p o s e s of payment.

compacted and t h a t , s u b j e c t t o t h e t o l e r a n c e s s p e c i f i e d i n 6 . 2 - 6 . 4 i n c l u s i v e , t h e r e q u i r e d s h a p e s ,
f i n i s h e s , p o s i t i o n s , l e v e l s , and d i m e n s i o n s shown on t h e d r a w i n q s a r e m a i n t a i n e d .

5.2 FOWIWORK

r e q u i r e d on t h e f i n i s h e d c o n c r e t e . Such s u r f a c e c o n d i t i o n s a r e c l a s s i f i e d a s rough o r smooth, a s
f o l l o w s , and w i l l b e so s c h e d u l e d :
a ) N.No t r e a t m e n t of t h e s u r f a c e of t h e c o n c r e t e w i l l be r e q u i r e d a f t e r t h e s t r i k i n g o f t h e
formwork.
b ) Smooth. I m p e r f e c t i o n s such a s s m a l l f i t i s , b u l g e s , i r r e g u l a r i t i e s , s u r f a c e honeycombing, and
u n a c c e p t a b l e s u r f a c e d i s c o l o r a t i o n s s h a l l be made good and r e p a i r e d by approved methods.
