Project Manufacturing:

1. ASCP tables that contain information pertaining to a particular project /

project tasks are as follows:
- msc_demands
- msc_sales_orders
- msc_full_pegging
- msc_item_exceptions
- msc_po_requisition_interfaces
- msc_reservations
- msc_routings
- msc_safety_stocks
- msc_supplies

2. Setups for project / project tasks on OLTP side:

- Sales Orders -> Order Line Details -> others -> Project Number / Task
Number
- Discrete Jobs -> Schedule Group -> Project Number / Task Number
- PO Requisition -> Distributors -> Project Number / Task Number
- Safety Stock -> Project Number / Task Number (Quantity based safety stock
details)
- Forecast / MDS -> Item Details -> Details -> Project Number / Task Number

3. Profile Options:
- PA: Cross project user--Update
- PA: Cross project user--View
Both these profiles should be set to Yes at the responsibility level for you
to be able to create a project
and make changes to its status and create new tasks / sub-tasks.

4. PJM Organization Parameter:

- Organizations which are project manufacturing enabled, control level could
be set to 'Project' or 'Task'.

5. Creating a new Project: (Refer page 105/328)

- A new project could be created by copying it from standard templates. (pls
refer to page 106/328)
- A new project could also be created from Seiban Wizard. (pls refer to page
110/328)

6. Task Auto Assignment: (Refer page 87/328)

- For task auto assignment control level in PJM organization parameters
should be 'Project'.

7. Planning Group: (refer page 187/328)

- Could be setup from Supply chain planner responsibility. It is defined as a
lookup in SCP responsibility
and new groups could be added in the same lookup. Projects could be assigned
to a planning group from
project parameters.

8. Reservation Level: (refer page 187/328)

- Planning Group
- Project
- Task
- None

9. Hard Pegging: (refer page 187/328)

- Project
 - Project-Task
- None

10. Netting (refer page 189/328)

- By combining the item pegging attribute with the plan options for
reservation level and hard pegging level,
netting behavior could be controlled. (Refer to page 190-191 for different
scenarios of netting behavior)

11. Supply Chain Projects: (ASCP linkage with Project Manufacturing)

- We can define Forecast / MDS / Sales Orders and assign them to Project or
Project - Task as per the control
level. These demands will act as project demands and we can run the ASCP plan
considering these project demands.
Supplies can also be assigned to Project / Project-Task.

These are some more findings from project mfg plan runs:

1. When item pegging attribute is set to End Assembly / Hard Pegging for both the
end item and its child item
then project / project-task reference travels through out the supply chain i.e.
even the lower BOM level
demand/supplies have the same project / project-task reference as their parents.

2. If Item pegging attribute is set to Soft Pegging for the parent item, Hard
Pegging Level setting in plan options
will not make any difference. None of the planned orders will be generated with
project / project-task reference.

3. If parent item pegging attribute is set as Hard Pegging but child item has the
same setting as Soft Pegging
then parent item supplies will have project / project-task reference but child item
planned orders will not have
any such references due item pegging attribute setting as soft pegging.
