on module based on the vibration sensor SW-420 and Comparator LM393 to detect if there is any
vibration that beyond the threshold. The threshold can be adjusted by the on-board potentiometer. When
this no vibration, this module output logic LOW the signal indicate LED light, And vice versa. No shock,
vibration switch was closed conduction state, output of low output, the green indicator light. Shock,
vibration switch instantly disconnected, the output-side output high, the green light does not shine. The

 ULTRASONIC SR 04

The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor uses sonar to measure distance to an object. It offers
excellent range accuracy and stable readings in an easy-to-use package. It operation is not
affected by sunlight or black material like Sharp rangefinders are (soft materials like cloth can be
difficult to detect).
Module main technical parameters:
1.Working Voltage : 5V(DC)
2.Static current: Less than 2mA.
3.Output signal: Electric frequency signal, high level 5V, low level 0V.
4.Sensor angle: Not more than 15 degrees.
5.Detection distance: 2cm-450cm.
6.High precision: Up to 0.3cm
7.Input trigger signal: 10us TTL impulse
8.Echo signal : output TTL PWL signal

Mode of connection:
1.VCC
2.trig(T)
3.echo(R)
4.GND

The basic operation principle is below :

use IO port TRIG to trigger ranging. It needs 10 us high level signal at least
Module will send eight 40kHz square wave automatically, and will test if there is any signal
returned.
If there is signal returned, output will be high level signal via IO port ECHO. The duration of the
high level signal is the time from transmitter to receiving with the ultrasonic.
Testing distance = duration of high level*sound velocity(340m/s) / 2
You can use the above calculation to find the distance between the obstacle and the ultrasonic
module.

This popular ultrasonic distance sensor provides stable and accurate distance
measurements from 2cm to 450cm. It has an focus of less than 15 degrees and an accuracy of
about 2mm. Usage: Connect the VCC and GND pins to a 5V power supply, the trigger input
(Trig) pin to a digital output and the echo (Echo) pin to a digital input on your robot's
microcontroller. Pulse the trigger (Trig) pin high for at least 10us (microseconds) and then wait
for a high level on the echo (Echo) pin. The amount of time it takes to receive the echo
corresponds to the distance that the ultrasonic sound has travelled. The quicker the response, the
closer your robot is to an obstacle. This sensor uses ultrasonic sound to measure distance just like
bats and dolphins do. Ultrasonic sound has such a high pitch that humans cannot hear it. This
particular sensor sends out an ultrasonic sound that has a frequency of about 40kHz. The sensor
has two main parts: a transducer that creates an ultrasonic sound and another listens to it's echo.
To use this sensor to measure distance, the robot's brain must measure the amount of time it takes
for the ultrasonic sound to travel. Sound travels at approximately 340 meters per second. This
corresponds to about 29.412us (microseconds) per centimeter. To measure the distance the sound
has travelled we use the formula: Distance = (Time x SpeedOfSound) / 2. The "2" is in the
formula because the sound has to travel back and fourth. First the sound travels away from the
sensor, then it bounces off of a surface and returns back. The easy way to read the distance as
centimeters is use the formula: Centimeters = ((Microseconds / 2) / 29). For example, if it takes
100us (microseconds) for the ultrasonic sound to bounce back, then the distance is ((100 / 2) / 29)
centimeters or about 1.7 centimeters.
IR SENSOR:
IR Sensor module has great adaptive capability of the ambient light, having a pair of infrared
transmitter and the receiver tube, the infrared emitting tube to emit a certain frequency, encounters an
obstacle detection direction (reflecting surface), infrared reflected back to the receiver tube receiving,
after a comparator circuit processing, the green LED lights up, while the signal output will output digital
signal (a low-level signal), through the potentiometer knob to adjust the detection distance, the effective
distance range 2 ~ 10cm working voltage of 3.3V-5V. The detection range of the sensor can be adjusted
by the potentiometer, with little interference, easy to assemble, easy to use features, can be widely used
robot obstacle avoidance, obstacle avoidance car assembly line count and black-and-white line tracking
and many other occasions.
