Hazard Controls
 Secure necessary permit. A qualified /certified work permit
receiver to obtain work permit from an authorized issuer prior
to start the job, complies with all instruction specified in the
permit.
 Ensure work permit procedure is followed as per SEPCO
approved work permit procedure (Ref # SES-PGB-HS-PRO-
0008).
 Inspect the work location before issuance of work permit.
 Pre-job safety toolbox meeting must be conducted as per
CSSP section 13.2-A
 Special instruction for materials sensitivity, and risk level will
be discussed before starting job activity.
 Use proper PPEs according to job requirements
 Tie off all tools with tool belt when work at height
 Use Full Body Harness with two lanyards above 1.8 meter
height
 All scaffolders should wear full body harness equipped with
two (2) lanyard (inspected and color coded).
 Use the correct type of hand gloves
 Use Proper tools secured in tool belts
 Tools/spanners must be Tie off by nylon rope.
 Ensure tools and equipment used for the task have been
parked and stored properly in safe and designated storage
areas.
 Ensure area is clean and safe.
  Proper housekeeping is done after completing job activity as
per CSSP section 18.13

5 CABLE PULLING

 Use proper PPE's and all tools shall be color coded and
inspected by competent person.
 Only skilled personnel should do the job. Use only proper
tools & methods.
 All Electrical Tools should be double insulated. Tools must
be kept in Tool Box and Tool Box must be placed at
properly safe place.
 All crew shall be trained (Safety Orientation) before
mobilizing to site.
 Barricade the energized bay or equipment.
 Use the correct type of hand gloves.
 Confirm de-energization of cables

 If the permit is not properly  Inform the permit issuer to close the work permit, conduct a
closed, hazard could joint site inspection and write the date, time and name.
6 Close work permit remain at the jobsite.

Note:

1. Supervisor, Foremen must discuss the JSA to their crew prior to the execution of work to ensure safety of everyone.
2. Daily safety toolbox meeting must be conducted to review hazards or deviations at work activity.
3. In view of high risk of over explosion may cause Central nervous system effects, If so the operators must be take brake in
between the work.
4. In case of fire, the qualified fire watchman shall extinguish the fire immediately and must inform the immediate supervisor.
5. Safety Advisor/Engineer/Officer shall oversee the whole duration of activity and submit Accident/Incident report if there’s any.
6. Copy of this JSA must be attached to the Work Permit issued to conduct the activity.

Special Instructions:
 Obtain and follow Work Permit(s) prior to start the job.
 Proper material storage at site area.
 Work must be supervised for each process.
 Proper House- keeping is required on daily basis.
 Lifting tools, in good condition.
 Portable electric tools are in good working condition.
 Appropriate barricades and safety signs must be posted around the work site.
 All team members must visit the job site and understand fully the scope of work.
 All workers working at the job shall be briefed about the JSA to make sure that they all are aware of the JSA.

CAUTION: All persons associated with the job shall abide by the JSA. The JSA stands cancelled once conditions change at
the job site. The team shall stop all work and revisit the JSA.
