General Spare Parts Guideline

1. Foreword

This guideline covers only deliveries of BOMAG parts for machines manufactured and
sold by BOMAG. It is a basis for the handling of parts business between BOMAG and
its dealers, retailers and customers. Its objective is to ensure a smooth and quick
processing of parts orders.

2. General conditions

- All parts supplies are subject to our current BOMAG sales conditions.
- The BOMAG After Sales Service guideline is the basis for all supplies under warranty.

3. Order Procedure

Spare parts orders can be placed in writing by fax, via internet or by telephone.
Ordering via internet offers the advantage of immediate delivery information. The buyer
should indicate if backordered parts should be delivered later or cancelled.
Furthermore the dealer must communicate the desired mode of shipment. We
distinguish between stock order and breakdown. When placing the order the buyer has
to define the desired terms of delivery.

4. Freight, shipment, packing

In case of missing information concerning desired mode of shipment, BOMAG will


choose the ideal mode of shipment in view of packing and shipping conditions. Freight
and packing costs are not included in the parts price and will be charged separately.

5. Price list
The spare parts prices the customer is charged, are based on the current BOMAG
spare parts price list which can be updated by BOMAG if necessary.

6. Return of BOMAG parts

see separate guideline „Return of spare parts“.

7. Parts ordered in error by customer

BOMAG will take back parts ordered by the distributor/dealer in error, provided the
return is made by the distributor/dealer within 20 working days (date of receipt of
goods) after shipment by BOMAG.
The goods must be returned to BOMAG freight free. BOMAG will refund the invoiced
price of the part less 15 % restocking fee. Customs duties (if occur) will also be
deducted from the credit amount.

8. Delivery error caused by BOMAG

BOMAG will take back parts delivered by error, provided the return is made by the
distributor/dealer within 20 working days after shipment by BOMAG (date of receipt of
goods).
BOMAG will bear freight charges and refund the invoiced price of the part without any
deduction.

9. Defective parts

Obviously damaged parts (defective on the outside) must be reported to BOMAG


immediately after receipt of the parts.
In case the defect is caused by BOMAG, the parts value will be credited. Depending on
the individual case of damage, BOMAG will decide if the part should be returned or
scrapped locally. BOMAG recommends to send an e-mail including digital photo to
parts@bomag.com to ensure efficient handling. Parts which were already installed in the
machine are subject to our warranty guideline.
