Subject: to shred off few employees by re-conducting selection process

Hope you all are good. This letter is to inform you all that Pakistan International Airlines is going
to restructure the whole organization of which employees’ layoff is one of the components. The
purpose of restructuring is as follows:

1. Repeating formal selection process-(i) General test (ii)Medical test (iii) Final
interview
2. Encouraging meritocratic and transparent environment for all.
3. Laying off employees unable to meet test passing criteria.

This step is necessary to be taken for the sake of PIA’s effective performance and it requires the
cooperation of all the employees. If you have any query regarding this restructuring strategy,
you can discuss in the upcoming meeting going to be held in next month. In the meantime we
apologize for the inconvenience.
