In our first quarter in our Science subject I learned a lot of things.

Firstly,
about Science investigation, which refers to a quest to find the answer to a question
using the scientific method. In turn, the scientific method is a systematic process that
involves using measurable observations to formulate, test or modify a hypothesis. The
scientific method follows this steps,Observation,Identifying the scientific
problem,Conducting a background and research,Stating the hypothesis,Conducting an
experiment,Gathering experimental data Analyzing and interpreting empirical
data,Analyzing and interpreting empirical data and Generalizing or stating a
conclusion.Secondly,Our dear teacher tackled about Measurement and Measuring
instrument, In science, a measurement is a collection of quantitative or numerical data
that describes a property of an object or event. A measurement is made by comparing a
quantity with a standard unit. The modern International System of Units (SI) bases all
types of physical measurements on seven base unit.Thirdly,I learned also about the
Science laboratory and Safety Precautions.Science laboratory is a facility that provides
controlled conditions in which scientific or technological research, experiments, and
measurement may be performed. Safety Precautions are very important to know for the
students because the laboratory maybe equipped with often expensive apparatuses
and equipment, one should be familiar with their usage and functions so that they could
be take care of properly .The laboratory often has chemical which should be handled
carefully to avoid any untoward contamination and reaction. However,Environment and
Health regulations also discussed which signified the many chemicals or substances
that could be hazardous to one’s health and the environment such as
Acids,Bases,Cyanides, and Carcinogens. On the other hand, i learned also about
Matter,Solutions,Mixtures,Acid and Bases and elements.

Matter is everything around you. Atoms and compounds are all made of very
small parts of matter. Those atoms go on to build the things you see and touch every
day. Matter is defined as anything that has mass and takes up space it has
volume. A solution is a type of homogeneous mixture made up of two or more
substances. A homogeneous mixture is a type of mixture with a uniform composition.
This means that the substances cannot be distinguished easily from one another. It has
two components the solute and sovent. The solute is the component that is dissolved or
generally present in a smaller quantity. The solvent is is the component that is
the dissolving medium or generally present in a large quantity. Furthermore,There are
several ways of expressing the concentration of solutions. The concentration may be
express as percent by mass, percent by volume, mole, fraction, molarity and molality. In
addition,Mixture are a combination of two or more substances which keep their own
properties,it could be homogenous or heterogenous. They could be also
solutions, colloids, and suspensions.Lastly ,The elements that could
me either metals,metalloids,or non-metals.

These are the things that I learned in our first quarter which really
appreciate me how powerful our creator.
