Teen Suicide Prevntion

The problem is teen suicide is at a high, also families and doctors want it back at low

rates. As we all know teen suicide rates are increasing and if nothing is done more and more kids

will die as a result. Accourding to my sources, 44,965 teens die from suicide every year and

depression affects 20-25% of American teens. Also, Suicide is the 10th leading death and every

12 minutes a teen commits suicide. One solution to teen suicide is therapy, it is looked at as a

solution to a lot of people problems but I think it will be very effective. Not only will patients get

the needed help but as a result there will be less depressed teens around the U.S. Although that

may be an effective solution, some teens are rebellious and may skip class once in a while. Some

people don't like speaking to strangers about their problems they may retaliate. With every pro

there's a con but in this evaluation pros outweigh the cons. Another solution can be social gathers

with family and friends. As a result they will feel welcomed, loved and safe. Although those are

good solutions to this ongoing epidemic, some people don't like being around others. That also

might make their situation worse and others around them may get hurt. Both solutions are

effective but only one stood out the most. Family gatherings seem to be the most effective

solution because most who are depressed feel alone. Family genuine love and therapy is a

stranger listening to your life problems. Mary Jane Anderson’s main point of her artical is

teen/adolecence suicide and also teen depression. You may ask your self, What causes a teen to

attempt suicide? What are the warning signs of teen suicide? Bringing awareness to teen suice

and helping prevent future teen suicide teen depression, suicide and signs of suicide. The

solution is bringing awareness and take test, make sure your family is aware of your situation

Which Teens Are at Risk for Suicide? To bring awareness to teen suicide, depression and to find

better alternative. The problem is that teens nowadays are addicted to drugs and are letting it

control there actions and emotions. If teens would stop the drug abuse the suicide rate would also

drop.
