c. appreciate the purpose of filling and spread in a sandwich.

5. ABSTRACTION

Components of Sandwich

Structure or base- is the part on which the


moistening agent is spread and which
carries the ingredients of the sandwich.
Fillings- consist of one or more ingredients
which maybe hot or cold or a combination
of both and which are stocked, layered, or
folded within or on the base of the
sandwich.
Spread or moistening- serves to bind the
sandwich to prevent the base from
becoming soggy and which also acts as a
protective layer between the base and the
filling.

6. APPLICATION
