Dear Parents,
Sub: SJPS – Eighth Annual Sports Meet on 10.01.2020 – Reg.
Greetings!

It was highly unfortunate that we were not able to conduct Our Main Sports Meet on the date that we had
planned this academic year (2019-2020). The reasons, were the grounds were not available on the date(s) we
have asked for, in August 2019. Even once we had booked the TN Govt. RR Stadium (Police Stadium) the
date was cancelled due to some important Government Program planned for the same day, in which Chief-
Minister was the Chief-Guest. Then even when we had got it on 30th November 2019 Saturday due to
heavy rain we were compelled to cancel it and informed all in the early morning of the scheduled day only.

Now also, we are not able to get proper ground to conduct the event on any Saturday. Also as Board Exams
are approaching we cannot think of a Saturday or later dates. In the given situation we are under
compulsion to conduct the SJPS Main Sports Meet on the D.B Jain College Grounds @ OMR -
Thoraipakkam on Friday the 10th January 2020, between 9.30a.m. & 6.00p.m. The Event is for Classes 4 to
12. To accommodate this event on 10th Jan and not to miss this also, we are to make the following changes
in our internal schedule.

 Usually SJPS Sports Meet are conducted on Saturdays.

 This time since the day is Friday we need to work for All KG Classes as we don’t want to miss
one working day for them.
 Class 10 - The Science Revision Exam has been re-scheduled on Monday the 13th Jan and
Computer Applications will be conducted on Saturday the 25th January 2020.
 Class 11 - The Physics / Business Studies Papers of Second Terminal Exam will be conducted on
Monday the 20th January 2020.
 Class 12 -The Model Practical’s in Physics (Batch III & IV) on 14.01.2020, Entrepreneurship on
13.01.2020, Engineering Graphics (Batch-wise) and Economics – Final Practical Revision on
18.01.2020.

As some of you may grumble, we have no other better option than to vouch for this date / day as we have
no other suitable date which will be ideal for us in the given circumstances. Please expect and read the
different circulars on the same “Sports Meet” subject from Principal office addressed to Athletes / Special
Event Participants/ Choir Group / March Past contingent of all 4 houses (blue, green, orange and yellow)
/ Band Troupe / Announcers / Student Volunteers etc.

Let’s have in our thoughts and mind the energy spent by participants in the ground during training &
practice session; the enthusiasm & training put out by athletes; the colorful dresses stitched & the
investment by the parents on the costumes; the effort put in by the staff of Physical Education Department
and the House Teachers. Let’s have a compassionate heart to come, sit, and encourage the sports spirit
among our students, dear parents.

Eager to meet you all the enthusiastic students, athletes and all participants under the banner SJPS Annual
Sports Meet 2019-2020 on Friday the 10th January 2020 @ D. B. Jain College Grounds.
