Now that our big one is set for his career and the little one is going to college,

this was the "life advice" I had for them. Sharing it for the millions of other
kids who are stepping out into the world.

Always remember that the four of us are together and love each other. We will
always have each others' backs. If you are ever in any trouble, the first call
should be to Mom and me.

Choose what you'll pivot your life around. Excellence? Success? Money? Love?
Adventure? Cause? Something else? Your choice will have consequences; accept them.

Always be curious. Read. Experiment. Fail. Challenge. Interesting people have

interesting lives.

Make and keep friends. Stick to your family.

Focus on a goal. Short term and/or long term. If you are implementing, focus on
completing on time with limited resources. If you are creating, focus on framing
the problem well.

Never lie or cheat. Respect people. Never let your compassion die. Give space to
another point of view, however ridiculous you may find them.

Your attitude and mindset will determine how you perceive life. The world will
provoke you in many ways; you can't control the stimulus but you can control your
response.

Laugh. A lot. A small part of you should never "grow up".

And don't ever stop listening to music.
