Why you should use social media 

People use social media for everything, including looking for places to plug in and join a 
band/worship team. These are templates you can use when posting to social media sites 
and Craigslist. 
 

Twitter/Facebook 
[YOUR CHURCH NAME/CITY] is looking for musicians (guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocalists) 
and production volunteers to join our worship team. We love to lead people in worship and 
lift the name of Jesus high. Send us a DM/Message if you’re interested. Thanks! 
 

Sunday announcement (from stage) 

I just want to take a moment to thank everybody on the stage today and in our 
production team for everything they do week in and week out to lead us in worship. 
These are a fantastic group of volunteers, and our church loves you - why don’t we 
give them all a hand and celebrate them! If you [addressing the congregation] play 
an instrument or sing, we’d love to talk with you about joining our worship team! If 
you’re interested, please talk with me after the service, or feel free to send an email 
to [email address]. 
 
This announcement does two things: It complements the team publicly (which is always 
a good thing to do), and it lets people know that you are looking for volunteers to join 
this team that you’ve just celebrated. 
 

 
 
 

Craigslist 
Our Church wants you! 
If you are a musician and you are looking for an opportunity to make some music 
with a great group of people who love using their musical backgrounds to give 
people hope, this is the opportunity for you! 
[Your Church] in [Your Town] has contemporary [or your style] worship band. We 
play music in the style of [name bands here that people might be familiar with]. It's 
a fun time and [use a number here to represent your church congregation] of our 
folks are loving it! 
We are looking for new musicians to join and we would love for you to have an 
opportunity to be a part. We know that many folks are decent players but don't 
have the time or opportunities to join a band due to work and real life. This could 
be your chance if you are willing to take the leap! 
If you are interested, please contact us and let's start a conversation! All guitar 
players, keys players, bass players, drummers, and vocalists are welcome! 
NOTE:​ Our team is made up diverse individuals that volunteer their time to make 
this happen and enjoy the chance to serve in their unique gift capacity. This is NOT 
a paid gig. However, unpaid professionals are always welcome:) 
REQUIREMENTS: 
1. You need to have access to AND be able to play an instrument (ability to learn 
and execute new songs) 
2. You need to enjoy being around other people -:) 
3. Yous should be available for [your rehearsal time and worship service time].
