2019 LOTTE Foundation Scholarship

I. Target (As of October 2019)
Undergraduate/ Graduate students: You must be enrolled as a regular student in the Faculty/ School of Dentistry.
*Research students are not eligible to apply.
*Students in their final year must prove that you will be proceeding to a higher degree program by the time of the
interview (September 5, 2019).
II. Eligibility (As of October 2019)
Eligibility requirements for this scholarship are that you must

1. be from Asian countries (excluding Japan);

2. be 35 years or younger as of October 2019;

3. be in need of financial aid due to extenuating financial circumstances and not receive other scholarships/ earn high

income in FY2019;

4. not receive scholarship from other institutions;

5. [If you are married] your spouse’s income must be 5,000,000 JPY or less;

6. be in good standing in regard to both character and academics;

7. must have Japanese knowledge equivalent to“N1-Level”;

8. have a deep understanding of international friendship and goodwill;

9. be able to attend all student exchange meetings (about 4 times a year, including an overnight training trip);

10. be able to attend interviews by the Foundation to report your progress (few times a year).

III. Scholarship
Amount: JPY 180,000 monthly

Duration: 2 years (October 2019 – September 2021)

VI. Application Form
Application forms are available at the Foreign Student Support Unit (Building 1,4F)
*Application documents must be handwritten in Japanese by the applicants themselves.
*Recommendation letter should be about one page in length (A4-sized paper) and must be written by
your supervisor.
*If you have taken the JLPT, please submit the Certificate of Result and Scores.
*If you are married, please submit the certificate of income (or withholding tax slip) of your spouse.
VII. Application Period and Submission
Submission: Foreign Student Support Unit (Building 1,4F)

Deadline: June 5 (Wed), 2019

Once an applicant who was recommended by the university has been awarded a scholarship by the relevant
scholarship foundation, the applicant is barred from declining the scholarship award. You should check details
of each scholarship before you apply some scholarships. When you received a result of scholarship from
foundation, please be sure to inform Foreign Student Support Unit (Gakusei-ukeire Kakari)

Ⅰ．募集対象（２０１９年１０月１日現在）
学部学生・大学院生 歯学部もしくは医歯学総合研究科（歯学系）正規課程に在籍する私費外国人留学生
※大学院研究生を除く
※応募時点で最終学年に在籍する者は、面接日（２０１９年９月５日）時点で、
進学が決定していなければならない

Ⅱ．応募資格（２０１９年１０月１日現在）
① 日本以外の国籍を有し、主としてアジア諸国から来日している私費留学生
② ２０１９年１０月１日現在で３５歳以下の者
③ 修学のために経済的援助を必要とする者で、２０１９年度に他の奨学金及び多額の収入を得る予定のな
い者
④ 他の奨学金との併給は認めない
⑤ 配偶者がいる場合、その年収が５００万円未満である者
⑥ 学業、人物ともに優秀である者
⑦ 日本語による意思伝達が可能である者（日本語能力試験 N１取得程度）
⑧ 国際理解と国際間の友好親善に積極的に協力する者
⑨ 財団の奨学生交流会（年４回程度を予定 うち１回は宿泊を伴う研修旅行）に出席できる者
⑩ 本人の状況確認の為、年数回の財団事務局との面談に応じることの出来る者

Ⅲ．奨学金
１．支給額 月額１８万円
２．支給期間 ２年間（２０１９年１０月～２０２１年９月）

２０１９年７月 学内選考（面接選考予定）
２０１９年８月～９月 財団にて面接及び書類審査による選考
（面接日：２０１８年９月５日（木）東京都内実施）

Ⅵ．応募書類
国際交流課学生受入係で配布いたします。
＊提出書類は、日本語・直筆で丁寧に記入すること。
＊推薦書は、指導教員により A4 サイズ１ページで作成のこと。
＊日本語能力試験に合格者は、「認定書」及び「合否結果通知書」の写しを提出すること。
＊配偶者がいる場合には、配偶者の収入証明書（源泉徴収票等）の写しを提出すること。

大学から推薦され、採用された奨学金は辞退することができません。重複申請をしている者は、よく確認してから、
応募して下さい。奨学金受給が決定した際は、必ず学生受入係にお知らせ下さい。
