I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:


 Identify the three basic food groups.
 Appreciate the value of the basic food groups.
 Illustrate the examples of the three basic food groups.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Healthy and Nutritious Foods


Reference: Science Wonders 2, Dominga P. Mendoza, pp. 86-95
Materials: Pocket chart, video, pictures, flash cards, fruits, vegetables, milk, rice, cheese,
bread, egg, and cartolina.

A. Preparatory Activities

-What is mental change?
-What are the examples of the mental changes of an individual?

-The teacher will show the flash cards and give examples.
