GASKET
Standard gasket supplied with the Sigma ZIP Flange - SBR
(BUNA-S). Suitable for water and wastewater, and most
moderate chemicals. Temperature range -65ºF to 212ºF.
The following alternative gaskets are color
coded and available as indicated:
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene) - Green CR (Neoprene) - Yellow

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 3.
Step 1.

Clean the plain end pipe. Make sure that the end is cut square and is
burr-free. Lubricate the plain end pipe thoroughly with a soap-based pipe
Slide the flange toward the end of the pipe, seating
gasket lubricant, so that the gasket will slide onto the pipe smoothly and
the gasket evenly in the flange cavity. Continue to

Slide the ZIP Flange, set screw side first, onto the

SET SCREW SIZE AND TORQUE VALUES

Use standard flange bolts to connect the flanges.

Tighten the flange bolts alternately to keep the

flange faces square to each other. When flange
ZF2 Series - HEAVY DUTY faces meet, torque flange bolts to specification.
