The M750 easily converts 4 wire G703 co-directional to either
multi mode or single mode fibre
The Dewar M750 Fibre Optic Interface (FOI)
isdesigned to allow simple and easy transmission
of co-directional G703 64kbit 4 wire electrical
over fibre in information systems and industrial
applications.
Put simply, the M750 converts 4 wire G703 co-
directional to either multimode or single mode
fibre.
These units offer a minimum 500VDC
isolation between I/P and O/P data signals
and earth. Offering the highest level of
reliability, the Dewar M750 allows the user
a level of flexibility to suit their individual
needs.
Each FOI utilises a pair of 850nm multimode
or 1350nm single mode fibre optic cables
terminated with ST style connectors.

The 19”, 1U high case can house up to 7 modules.
Up to 6 FOI multimode modules (750-3) can be
powered by 1 power supply module. Up to 3 FOI
single mode modules (750-8) can be powered by 1
power supply module. This facilitates for mix and
match of FOI and power supply modules which
allows complete isolation of circuits. The customer
can specify module locations at ordering, or can
locate the module positions within the rack at
installation.

The M750 case is designed to be installed into a
standard 19” (482.6mm) wide rack of minimum
1U height (44.5mm) the end brackets form part of
the case. Mounting hardware is not supplied.
All connections are made to the rear of the case
assembly. It is suggested a minimum distance of
150mm be allowed at the case rear for ease of
cable connections.
FOI and PSU modules are assembled on the same
footprint. Up to 7 modules can be mounted in a
single case. Up to 6 FOI modules can be powered by
1 PSU. Due to power connection needs the extreme
left module as seen from the front can only house a
PSU card.
A tally plate is provided to allow the installer to
identify the position of each module.

LED Indicators: A green LED indicates power output

from the PSU and power applied to a fitted FOI.
Module. Yellow (Tx & Rx) LEDs indicate data
transmit and receive.
