WHEEL STORY

Amity – Revolutionising Ideas


Amity School of Architecture and planning provides a rich, cultural life that has
emerged from a strong tradition of Amity University. Well established authors,
architects and artists have helped mark Amity on the map of modern Indian
culture. This proves that Amity is a place where interactions between people and
colleges incubate creativity coupled with revolutionary ideas. The following pages
present the brief of an inter-college contest organised by The Cultural Society of
Amity School of Architecture and Planning.

1.Introduction
Our rural areas are deficit of many resources which are not able to reach them
due to inaccessibility and cost. Initiatives have been pulled out to make the
resources mobile and distributed. As an architect,designer, planner, socialist it is
our duty is to improve and create the extend services to the unprivileged
keeping in mind the eco and user friendliness.

2. Aim
This event will bring out the creativity of the participants as well as give them an
opportunity to show their artistic skills.

3.Objective

Improves teamwork and coordination among the participants


4. Set Up
1. The event is based on an individual’s analytical thinking and problem solving
capability.
2. The individuals will be provided with truck body to work with.
3. The participating should identify a need for the rural areas which can be
provided by “resources on wheels”.
4. The interiors and exteriors of the food truck would have to be conceptualized
beforehand.
5. Only the installation shall happen at the venue.
6. The design of the truck should be “self-sustained” keeping in mind the
movement of the vehicle in rural areas and provision of promised service.
7. Judgment would be announced on the same day.

A fun activity for participants to improve their designing skills.

7. Rules
1. Each team can comprise of 2-4 persons.
2. On the spot entries will not be entertained and prior registrations are
compulsory.
3. The concept drawings of the truck along with the service/resource to be
provided would have to be mailed by 20th February, 2019.
4. The measure drawing of truck would be sent along with the invitations.
5. I-cards to be carried all the time during the event.
6. Reproduction of existing ideas or designs will lead to disqualification.
7. The materials required for the competition will be provided. No extra materials
are allowed and neither will they be provided.
8. Decision of the jury is final.

8. Prizes
The winning team would be awarded with a Cash prize .
Runner ups will get exciting prizes too.
