PROJECT CONCEPT

PROJECT CONCEPT

With an aim to promote the concept of AYUSH, the state proposes to expand the healthcare
interventions using the assistance of Indian stream of medicines. Under the project, a patient shall
be able to take holistic treatment such as Ayurveda, Panchkarna, Yoga and Naturopathy.
The project shall be developed under the PPP mode. Land assistance shall be provided by the state
whereas, the concerned private agency shall develop and operate it.
Uttarakhand is home to a number of educational institutions in the field of AYUSH, therefore, shall
establish effective and systematic teaching, training, research and development.
Facilitating investors with trained manpower in the sector shall address the challenges of
unemployment, ensuring sustainable employment and income generation for the youth.
Objectives:
Ø To spread awareness within community for practice of those dietary habits and life styles as
described in AYUSH Systems of Medicine which help in preventing disease and promoting health.
Ø To advice people for preservation and cultivation of herbs which are found in the surroundings.
Ø To advice people about common ailments and its cure with thorough use of herbs found in their
localities.

Financing and Taxation • Debt Equity Ratio: Debt Equity Ratio is taken as 70:30 for the

Uttarakhand AYUSH Policy 2018 (Proposed)

Financial assistance like incentives / reimbursements / subsidies to the
