POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS


FOR 2013/2014 SESSION

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS GOVERNING HIGHER DEGREE STUDIES:


A. After registration, every full-time candidate for the degree of Master shall pursue his/her studies and/or
research for not less than eighteen (18) calendar months and not more than twenty four (24) calendar
months before being examined for the degree.

B. After registration every full-time candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy shall pursue his/her
course work and/or research for not less than twenty-four (24) calendar months not more than thirty Six
(36) calendar months before being examined. After registration, each part-time candidate for the degree
of Doctor of Philosophy shall pursue the programme for not less than thirty six (36) calendar months and
not more than sixty (60) calendar months for the degree.

C. After registration, every full-time candidate for the M. Phil shall pursue his/her studies and/or research for
not less than twelve (12) calendar months and not more than Eighteen (18) calendar months before being
examined for the degree.

D. After registration, every Postgraduate Diploma candidate shall pursue his/her studies and/or research for
not less than Twelve (12) calendar months and not more than Eighteen (18) calendar months before
being examined for the degree.

General Admission Requirements


1. A candidate for Postgraduate studies must have met the normal undergraduate requirements for the
corresponding undergraduate programme as stipulated by JAMB. Where not determined by JAMB, at
least five relevant O’ level credits or a combination of relevant O’ level credits and A 'level
qualifications such as IJMB, HND, HSC, NCE, etc would be required. In all cases these must include a
credit in O' level English Language.

2. A holder of Pass Degree OR HND (less than Lower Credit) is not qualified for any Postgraduate
programme in ABU.

3. Candidates with 3rd class Degrees can, in some cases, be admitted, provided they possess additional
relevant qualifications and/or post-graduation work experience (at least 5 years) acceptable to the
University.

4. Candidates applying for a PhD programme must hold a Master degree or M.Phil with a research thesis
component (not project). Candidates with a CGPA score of less than 3.5 are not eligible for PhD
admission.

5. Applicants for PhD programmes are expected to attach a research proposal of not more than 2 pages.

6. Transcript: Candidates should request their former Universities or Institutions, to send their academic
transcripts to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, ABU Zaria otherwise their application may
not be processed.

In addition to the general admission requirements, several postgraduate programmes have additional requirements
and in some cases, candidates are required to write and pass an entrance examination. The admission requirements
for the various programmes is presented below.

FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION

1.1 DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING


Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance
Admission Requirement of the Programme:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least third class degree from Ahmadu Bello University or any
other recognized University, or HND with a minimum of lower Credit in Accountancy, Business
Administration/Management, and Banking and Finance from recognized Polytechnic. Applicants that
reach high managerial position in the financial sector with good degree in other fields would also be
considered.

Masters of Banking and Finance (MBF)


Admission Requirements of the Programme:
Candidates with at least second-class degree (Lower Division) in Accounting, Business or Economics from
Ahmadu Bello University or any recognized university. Candidates with Postgraduate diploma in
Accounting and finance from Ahmadu Bello University with a minimum of merit.

In addition, candidates with HND in Accounting or Banking and Finance or third class degree in
Accounting from a recognized Institution or with a Professional qualification from recognized
professional body (i.e. ICAN or ANAN) may be considered.

M. Sc Accounting and Finance


Admission Requirement of the Programme:
Bachelor of Science at Second Class Upper level and above in Accounting and other eligible disciplines
from a recognized University.

In exceptional cases candidates with a high Bachelor of Science at Second Class Lower level in
Accounting from a recognized University with a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification
experience and evidence of scholarship.

Candidates with MBA/MBF degree (in addition to 1st Degree) in Accounting from a recognized
University with cumulative average of at least 3.5 in a 5.0 point scale or 3.0 in 4.0 point system or
average of B in A-E Scale. In addition, candidates with good M. Sc degree in Banking & Finance or
Economics from a recognized University, however such candidates will be required to take some
prerequisite courses at the appropriate level.

Ph. D Accounting and Finance


Admission requirements of the programme:

Candidates with an M. Sc degree in Accounting and Finance from Ahmadu Bello University or any
recognized university are admissible into the Programme.

1.2 DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION


Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
Admission Requirements:
a) Five credits at O-Level (in not more than 2 sittings) including Mathematics and English.
b) Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least a Second Class Lower; HND with minimum of lower credit in
management or any management related field plus at least one year relevant post qualification experience.
c) All candidates must have demonstrated adequate intellectual capacity, professionalism, maturity and effective
decision – making and problem solving potentials during the university’s admission test and interview.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)


Admission Requirements:
a) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with at least a Second Class Lower or 2.40
Cumulative Grade Point Average from Ahmadu Bello University or any other recognized University or
PGDM, with at least one year post graduation qualification.
b) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or PGDM with at least a Second Class
(Lower Division) or 2.40 Cumulative Grade Point Average from Ahmadu Bello University or any other
recognized University plus one year post-qualification experience, or HND plus NNA, ACA, CIB, ACII.

General Requirements:
a) All candidates must possess the basic university entry requirement of five credit passes including English
and Mathematics at the ‘O’ Level, as basic requirement.

b) All candidates must have minimum of one year managerial/administrative experience in addition to
performing satisfactorily at the University’s MBA entrance examination.

Specific Requirements for MBA (Regular) Full-Time:


a) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or any related field such as Marketing,
Banking & Finance, Insurance and or Actuarial Science with at least a Second Class Lower or 2.40
Cumulative Grade Point Average from Ahmadu Bello University or any other recognized University
OR

b) Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) only.

Specific Requirements for MBA (Regular) Part-Time

a) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or any related field such as Marketing,


Banking & Finance, Insurance and or Actuarial Science and Accounting with at least a Second Class
Lower or 2.40 Cumulative Grade Point Average from Ahmadu Bello University or any other recognized
University OR

b) Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) only.

Specific Requirements for MBA (Special) Part-Time

a) Bachelor’s degree in any field of study with at least a Second Class Lower or 2.40 Cumulative
Grade Point Average from Ahmadu Bello University or any other recognized University.

Candidates with an MBA degree from Ahmadu Bello University or any recognized university are admissible into the
M.Sc. Programme. However, candidates with first class degree or second class (Upper Division) in Business
Administration or any of the management sciences may be admitted into the programme but would be expected to first
complete the requirements of the MBA coursework.
b) HND holders in Management or related fields holding professional certificates such as ANAN, CIB and CA may be
considered.

PhD Business Administration


Admission Requirement:
Candidates with an M.Sc degree from Ahmadu Bello University or any recognized university are admissible into the
PhD Programme.

1.3 DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT STUDIES

Masters of Public Administration (Local Government)


Admission Requirements
- First Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in Public Administration,
Business Administration or any Social Science Course.
- Post-graduate Diploma in Local Government or Public Administration (PGDLG or PGDPA).

Masters in Policy and Strategic Studies


Admission Requirements
a. Five 0' Level requirements with credit in English Language and at least a Pass in Mathematics
b. At least a Second Class honors degree in Local Government and Development Studies, or from the
Social Sciences, Public Administration and Management Sciences.
c. A Third Class honors degree in Local Government and Development Studies (ABU Zaria after
obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma.
d. Post graduate Diploma in the Management Sciences, Public Administration and Social
Sciences are eligible for admission.

MSc Policy and Strategic Studies


Admission Requirements
a. Five O' level requirements with credit in English Language and at least a Pass in Mathematics
b. A Second Class Upper Division in Local Government and Development Studies, Social Sciences and
Public Administration from ABU, Zaria and from any other recognized University.
c. Professional Masters (MPA, MBA, MA etc.) from relevant disciplines
d. Holders of MPA Local Government & Masters in Policy and Development Studies.

Ph.D Local Government


Admission Requirements
a. Five O’ level requirements with credit in English Language and at least a Pass in Mathematics
b. A Second Class Upper Division in Local Government and Development Studies, Social Sciences and
Public Administration from ABU, Zaria and any other recognized University.
c. Holders of MPA Local Government & Masters in Policy and Development Studies.
d. M.Sc. Policy and Development Studies
e. Master of Public Admin (Local Government)
f. M.Sc. Political Science, Economics or Sociology.
g. Master Degree in any other Social Science acceptable to the Postgraduate School of Ahmadu Bello
University, Zaria.
h. Master of Public Administration with M.Phil
i. M.Sc. Public

1.4 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
M. Phil/PhD
1. '0' level requirement
- candidates must have a minimum of five credits which must include English Language, Economics,
Government/History and Mathematics;
2. Minimum class of First Degree - Must. be Second Class Lower (2:2) In Public Administration, Local
Government, Economics, Political Science or Sociology;
3. Minimum CGPA in Master Degree - must not be less than 3.5 for M.Phil admission; and
4. Minimum CGPA in Master degree for PhD admission must not be less than 4.00 in coursework and
60% or B grade in thesis performance.
Prospective candidates for M.Phil/PhD in Public Administration must fulfill all the above requirements before
they are considered for admission into the programmes.

M.Sc. Public Administration


1. '0' level requirement - candidates must have a minimum of five credits which must include English Language,
Economics, Government/History and Mathematics;
2. Candidate must have a first degree in Public Administration, Local Government or Political Science.
3. Minimum class of Degree: candidate must have a minimum class of Second Class Upper (2: 1) to
quality for admission.

Master in Public Administration


1. '0' level requirement - candidates must have a minimum of five credits which must include English
Language.
2. Candidate with first degree and a Class of Second Class Lower (2:2) In Public Administration, Local
Government, Economics, Sociology and Political Science are qualified to apply. Those with Third
Class must have at least five years graduation experience.
3. Candidates with first degree outside the above specialized field of studies must have Postgraduate
Diploma in Public Administration of ABU to qualify for admission.
4. HND holders with minimum grade of Merit (Lower Credit) must also possess the Postgraduate
Diploma in Public Administration, and have at least two years graduation experience.

PGDPA
1. '0' level requirement - candidates must have a minimum of five credits which must
include English Language.
2. A minimum of B.A/B.Sc. from A.B.U. or any other recognised university or polytechnic. However,
holders of HND with a minimum of Merit Grade plus a minimum of two years post qualification
experience may be considered. Similarly, holders of Advanced Diploma in Public Administration
(ADPA) from this Department or a Postgraduate Diploma from a recognised university or polytechnic
may also be considered. Note that candidates in both cases must meet the minimum '0' level admission
requirements.

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE

2.1 DEPARTMENT OF AGRIC. ECONOMICS AND RURAL SOCIOLOGY


Postgraduate Diploma in Farm Management and Extension (PGDFME)
Admission Requirement

i In order to qualify for admission into Postgraduate Diploma in Farm Management and Extension, candidate
must (a) possess HND of not less than lower credit, and/or.
(b) B.Sc Degree in relevant field.

M.Sc Programmes (Agric. Economics and Agric. Extension)


Requirement for Admission
(a) M.Sc Agricultural Economics:
B (Agric) or B.Sc (Economics) or B (Agric. Tech) with a minimum of second class, lower division.
Candidates with 3rd Class pass and an additional relevant post graduation qualification could be admitted.

(b) M.Sc Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology:


B (Agric) or B.Sc (Sociology) or B (Agric Tech) with a minimum of second class, lower division
or B.Ed (Agric) 2.1 from ABU. Candidates with 3rd Class pass and an additional relevant post graduation
qualification could be admitted.

PhD Programmes (Agricultural Economics and Agric. Extension):


(i) PhD Agricultural Economics:
M.Sc Agricultural Economics based on course work and research thesis.

(ii) PhD Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology:


- M.Sc Rural Sociology, or M.Sc Agricultural Extension based on course work and research thesis.

2.2 DEPARTMENTOF AGRONMY


O’ Level Requirements
A prospective candidate for PGD should have a credit in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, plus any two science
subject from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Agricultural Science etc. All candidates coming for
postgraduate programmes in the Department must satisfy the Faculty of Agriculture/Ahmadu Bello University 0
Level entry requirement of minimum of five credits in Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physic,
Mathematics and English.

A) Postgraduate Diploma in Crop Production and Management (PGDCPM)


Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission for postgraduate Diploma in Crop Production and must have any of the following
qualifications from recognized institutions:
a) Higher National Diploma in Agriculture with minimum of lower credit.
b) Minimum of 3rd class Degree at Bachelor's level in Agriculture
c) Minimum of pass Degree at Bachelor's level in Agriculture plus a minimum of five years cognate
experience.
d) Degrees in related disciplines in sciences (B.Sc. Agric. Ed., B.Sc. in Biology or Botany science) with
minimum of 2nd class lower.

B) Masters in Agronomy (M. Agronomy)


Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission for any of the above Master degrees must have any of the following qualifications
from recognized institutions:
a) Postgraduate Diploma in Agronomy/crop production and related disciplines (B.Sc. Agric. Ed., B.Sc. in
Biology or Botany science).
b) Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture with minimum of 2nd class lower.

c) M.Sc Agronomy

Specialization In: Field Crop Production, Crop Physiology, Horticulture, Weed Science, Irrigation Agronomy,
Farming Systems;

Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission for the Academic Masters Degree in any of these fields must have any of the
following qualifications from recognized institutions.
a) Bachelor degree in Agriculture or related discipline (Agronomy/crop production/pasture agronomy/
horticulture etc) with a minimum of 2nd class lower division.
b) HND Upper Credit plus PGD at Distinction in addition to satisfying university matriculation \
requirements.
c) Bachelor degree in Agriculture or related discipline (Agronomy/crop production/pasture
agronomy/horticulture etc) with a minimum of 3rd class plus PGD in Agronomy/crop
production/horticulture.

d) M. Phil Agronomy
Admission Requirements
a) A PhD applicant who's Masters lacked a Thesis component
b) PhD applicants changing their field of study to a related field/programme
c) PhD students unable to conclude their study within the stipulated time but have earned a minimum of
40 credit units of course work (excluding Seminar and Research credits) and have conducted enough
research work for a Project/Thesis.
d) M.Phil/PhD candidates will automatically progress with the PhD provided he/she attained the
Departmental requirement of 3.5. Such candidate does not require admission again but must be up to
date with his/her registration.

M.Phil students who had a Master degree with a Thesis component shall only be require to defend a Project report
at the end of their M.Phil programme. Such cases with clear recommendation shall be communicated to SPGS for
the;
a) Upgrade of the students' status to PhD
b) Award an M.Phil to the candidate or
c) Terminated the students' programme

e) PhD Agronomy
Specialization: Field Crop Production, Crop Physiology, Horticulture, Weed Science, Irrigation Agronomy and
Farming Systems

Admission Requirement
Candidate seeking admission for Doctor of philosophy Degree in any of these fields must have academic Master's
Degree in any of these fields of Agriculture or related discipline with a minimum CGPA 3.5 from recognized
institutions. Candidate most fulfills the University requirements for conversion from the M.Sc programme to the
PhD programme

2.3 DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCE


Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Science
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the programme, a candidate must satisfy at least one of the following
requirements.
i. A minimum of three credits in relevant science subjects at the “0” level plus credit passes in English and
Mathematics, respectively.
ii. Not less than a credit grade in HND (Agric.)
iii. B.Sc. Agric. or B.Sc. Zoology or any other relevant degree with a pass or third class.

iv. At least two years Postgraduate field experience.

M.Sc. Animal Science


Admission Requirements
i. A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Animal Science with first or second class honours from a
recognized university.
ii. A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with first or second class honours; A candidate with this
qualification will be required to complete satisfactorily certain remedial courses specified by the
Department. This should be monitored by the student’s supervisory committee and compliance
reported to the Faculty Board.
iii. Any other requirements as specified by the Faculty Board of Agriculture or the Postgraduate School

Ph.D. Animal Science


Admission Requirements
i. A good Master’s degree in Animal Science from a recognized University.
ii. Any other entry requirements as specified by the Faculty Board of Agriculture or the Postgraduate
School.

2.4 DEPARTMENT OF CROP PROTECTION


Post-graduate Diploma in Crop Protection (PGDCP),
Master of Science (M.Sc.)
Ph.D Crop Protection

To be eligible for admission into the PG programmes of the Department the general Faculty of Agriculture and
Postgraduate School requirements shall apply.

2.5 DEPARTMENT OF PLANT SCIENCE


Postgraduate Diploma in Seed Production Technology.
Admission Requirement
1. B.Sc in Agriculture, Botany or Biochemistry
2. HND in Agriculture at least at lower credit level

M.Sc and Ph.D Crop Physiology,


Admission Requirement
M.Sc. Crop Physiology
A good University degree in Agriculture, Botany or any related field at least at the second class lower
Division level.
Ph.D Crop Physiology
An M.Sc degree in Plant/ Crop Physiology, Agronomy, Botany or any related subject.

M.Sc and Ph.D Crop Breeding


Admission Requirement
M.Sc. Crop Breeding
A good University degree in Agriculture, Botany or any related field at least at the second class lower
Division level.
Ph.D Crop Breeding
An M.Sc degree in Plant/ Crop Breeding, Genetics or Botany from a recognised university
.

2.6 DEPARTMENT OF SOIL SCIENCE

M.Sc. Soil Science
Admission Requirements
i. First or Second Class Degree in Agriculture (or Agricultural Science).
ii. Candidates with First or Second Class Degrees in other Biological or Physical Sciences may also be considered.
iii. Candidates with 3rd Class degree in Agriculture or the Physical Sciences may be offered admission provided they
have spent a minimum of five years after graduation.

PhD. Soil Science


Admission Requirements
i. A candidate seeking admission to a Ph.D. programme in Soil Science should normally possess a good Masters
Degree in the relevant area of Agricultural Science or a related discipline from a recognized University.
ii. An M.Sc. Degree earned through course-work and research is normally preferred.
iii. Candidates with other relevant qualifications which are deemed equivalent to the above by the Department, the
Faculty Board and the Senate may also be considered.

FACULTY OF ARTS

3.1 DEPARTMENT OF ARCHEOLOGY


M.A. Archaeology
Admission Requirements
1. To be eligible for admission into M.A. Archaeology Programme, applicants must possess Bachelor
degree in archaeology with at least Second Class Upper from recognized Universities.

Ph. D. Programmes
1. Ph.D. Archaeology Programme
2. Ph.D. Cultural Resource Management

Admission Requirements
For Ph.D. Archaeology, candidates must possess Master Degree in Archaeology from recognized Universities and
for Ph.D. degree in Cultural resource Management, they must obtain Masters in Archaeology or any related
disciplines like Museum Studies, Art History and Anthropology. The programme is full-time.

3.2 DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH AND LITERARY STUDIES


M.A. (Language)
Admission Requirements
i. A first degree (first or second class)
ii. A third class in the relevant area with 5 years’ postgraduate experience maybe considered.

M.A. (Literature)
Admission Requirements
i. A first degree (first or second class)
ii. A third class in the relevant area with 5 years’ postgraduate experience maybe considered.

Ph.D (Language)
Admission Requirements
i. A masters degree in the relevant area.

3.3 DEPARTMENT OF FRENCH
M.A. French
Admission Requirements
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s (BA Honours Degree) in French, with a grade not lower than Second Class
Lower (2.2) Honours.

Ph.D French
Admission Requirement
1. Candidate must have a good M. Phil. Degree or its equivalent in French from recognized University or
Institution of Higher Learning.
2. Candidate with MA Degree from other University will be required to spend the first year taking and
passing the entire Course Work or our MA Programme, and presenting Two (2) Seminar Papers, before
end of the 1st year.

3.4. DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY


M.A. (History)
Admission Requirements
Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree in History from a fully recognized University with at least second
class honors lower division or its equivalent from other Universities. In some instances, candidates with third
class with at least three years working experience may be admitted.

Ph.D
Admission Requirement
To be admitted into a Ph.D programme candidates should possess an M. Phil or equivalent degree in History from
a recognized University or Institute of Higher Learning. Applicant with an M. Phil or equivalent degree from a
recognized university or equivalent Institution of Higher Learning in any subject, which is deemed relevant to the
proposed research topic by the Department, may also be considered.

3.5 DEPARTMENT OF NIGERIAN AND AFRICAN LANGUAGES


Postgraduate Diploma in Translation and Interpretation (Part Time)
Admission Requirements
For entry to the programme, candidates are expected to hold a first degree at second class level in Hausa OR any
of Arabic, English or any related language can be admitted. However candidates with third class and relevant
experience may be considered. Proficiency in Hausa is essential.

M.A. (Master of Arts)


Admission Requirements
i. Upper or good lower second class degree in the proposed Asian language may be considered
for MA Asian Language or Literature.
ii Upper or good lower second class degree in related disciplines such as Linguistics,
Translation, Literature, or any non-Asian language, with proficiency in the proposed
language may be considered for M.A. Asian Language or Literature as applicable.
i. Upper or good lower second class degree in any other discipline, with proficiency in proposed
language of research and a postgraduate Diploma in related disciplines such as translation etc.
ii. Third class degree in the proposed Asian language of study, with three years post graduation
experience in an educational institution and a Postgraduate Diploma in related discipline such as
translation, or cultural studies.
iii. MA in the proposed Asian language or Literature.
iv. MA in related disciplines such as Non-Asian Language or Literature with proficiency in the proposed
language of study may be required to pass the Core Courses of MA Asian Language or Literature

3.6 DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE AND PERFORMING ARTS
PGD Home video Production
Admission Requirements
1. A minimum of Second Class Lower or a Third Class Degree (with 2 years post graduation
experience) in Development Communication, Theatre, Performing Arts, Mass communications,
Journalism, Development Studies, Film, Social Development, Rural Development, Community
Development, Geography, Languages and Literature, Rural Sociology, Agricultural Economics,
Agricultural Extension, Broadcasting, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics
Engineering, Library and Information Science.
2. Candidates from any of the Arts and Social Sciences or who have movie making experience or
experience of the media from other disciplines are eligible with strong references.
3. Candidates with a HND at Lower Credit levels are eligible for admission.
4. Candidates who do not have the above qualifications but who have extensive field experience in
movie production will be accepted on the condition that they audit 2 basic core courses in 200, 300
and 400 levels.

PGD Development Communication


Admission Requirements
1. A minimum of Second Class Lower or a Third Class Degree (with 2 years post graduation
experience) in Development Communication, Theatre, Performing Arts, Mass communications,
Journalism, Development Studies, Film, Social Development, Rural Development, Community
Development, Geography, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Languages and Literature,
Rural Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Broadcasting, Information
Technology, Library and Information Science.
2. Candidates with HND at Lower Credit levels in the fields mentioned above;
3. Candidates from any of the Arts and Social Sciences or candidates who have development work
experience or experience of the media and NGO work from other disciplines are eligible with strong
references but such candidates will audit 3 core courses at 400 level.

PGD Theatre for Development


Admission Requirements
1. A minimum of Second Class Lower or a Third Class Degree (with 2 years post graduation
experience)Theatre, Performing Arts, Mass communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Film,
Social Development, Rural Development, Community Development, Geography, Languages and
Literature, Rural Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Broadcasting,
Information Technology, Library and Information Science.

To be qualified for admission, the candidate must possess the following, both academic and behavioral

1. A master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling with a thesis component with a good grades in course
work of which 75% of the grades must be from B and above.
2. Candidates with masters in Guidance and Counseling with project writing and have an average score
of 65% and above in their course work can be considered. Such candidates will be subjected to
intensive research seminar presentation.
3. All candidates will have to be assessed through the administration of some psychological tests, couple
with intensive background checks on them before they are admitted. Irrespective of their level in the
programme, any candidate found with behavioral disorders that will damage the counseling
profession will be withdrawn.
4. Any Ph.D students whose score fall below 60% in the first semester course cannot proceed with Ph.D
