If there is physical damage or one of the sensors is not working properly the adjustment may fail or may drift out
of adjustment over time. Variations of temperature (±5⁰F) and/or humidity (±10%) of the temperature and
humidity at the time of adjustment can cause bodyguard messages to recur.
Cause:
Bodyguard message or stand is moving slowly.
Solution:
This adjustment take about 10 minutes. This adjustment can be performed without a hardware key by the
customer.
Adjustment preconditions
A patient is not on the table.
The stand is in the AP position. The stand will move 5⁰ caudal during the adjustment procedure.
There are NO objects or people within 80cm (32 inches) of the stand.
Enviromental conditions, temperature and humidity are stable and at normal settings.
There is no physical damage or liquids on the covers. If the cover had extensive liquid, it can take up to
24hrs to dry.
Press the exposure footswitch (no x-rays will be made). A progress bar on the monitor indicates the status of
the adjustment. This will take about 30 seconds. When finished a beep will be heard and the indicator will be at
100%. Start of adjustment
Confirm if the adjustment was Successful or Failed and click OK. To be Successful the Value must be >1792 for
each sensor. The Offset for each sensor within each group must be within 20 points of each other.
See the Diagrams at the end of the document for sensor location.
NOTE: Example on the left is from an older version Xray tube BG FD20 (Proxy 04 thru 07, 10 & 11) with green
sensor plates. Right is from a new version Xray tube BG with black sensor plates. New version is less sensitive to
temperature and Humidity changes and has different Offset values.
