Purpose:

Manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering and construction activities to ensure projects are planned and executed
in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner. Acts as primary technical co-ordination interface with client to ensure
that the client’s expectations are satisfied.
Ensure the project conforms to the client’s approved engineering and construction requirements as well as all applicable
regulatory and code requirements.

Responsibilities:

HSE Management

Maintains HSE focus within the team to ensure OHSE requirements included in design and
procurement.

Client Relationships

Maintains and builds healthy client relationships.

Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise.

Identifies, documents, communicates and meets the client’s requirements

Commercial Management

Effectively manages assigned budgets within WorleyParsons’ total scope.

Scope Management

Compliance with WPMP and Project Execution Plan..

Compliance with requirements of the contract.

Effective change control process application.

Time Management

Contributes to the development of overall project schedule.

Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule

Cost Control

Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecasts final costs, identifies trends and
takes action to avoid cost overruns.

Quality Management

Contributes to compliance with WorleyParsons policies and procedures.

Strong working knowledge of WorleyParsons engineering and procurement systems and procedures.

Team Management

Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.

Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks
and achieve objectives.

Communications Management

Regularly provides clear reports to project management.

Effective communication with the design team and third parties.

Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project Manager.

Risk Management

Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.

Design Management

Sets clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets.

Ensures design team aware of, and complies with, client’s Basis of Design and application regulations
and codes.

Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.

Construction Management

· Act as the interface among the customer, engineering and construction teams to ensure that all
requirements are safely planned and executed in accordance with the scope

· Manage integrated engineering and construction teams

Procurement/Subcontracts Management

Assesses procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are
delivered on time and are within budget.

Job Specific Knowledge:


· Recognized expertise within area of focus. Uses best practices to solve functional issues and
improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges. Participates in
plan implementation. Independently works through individual projects and/or plays key role in
broader projects. Relies on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational
implications of the work being performed to solve problems.
· Proficient with engineering software applications; Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail important. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
somewhat important.Sets clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and
budget targets.
· Ensures design team aware of, and complies with, client’s Basis of Design and application
regulations and codes.
· Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
· Assesses procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are
delivered on time and are within budget. Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control
and forecasts final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.
· Compliance with WPMP and Project Execution Plan.
· Specialized knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, hydrocarbon pipeline integrity / asset
management.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are critical. Usually able to explain why
things are done the way they are within a broader organizational context. Commitment to customer
service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to maintain confidential
information is critical.

Industry Specific Experience:


· Minimum of 7+ years industry experience
· Engineering Design and Execution experience preferable
· Proven experience in discipline design group, at a senior engineer or supervisory level

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:


BSc in Mechanical Engineering. MS in related field or applicable discipline
PMP or AIPM Certified
