 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Introduction

TOOLease is a start-up company that will serve 5th Avenue, Caloocan community with
home improvement tools for lease or rental. TOOLease offers a wide range of tools for the Do-it-
Yourselfers. This business seeks to provide a competitive service to its customers and secure a
long-term financial opportunity and livelihood in which the entire family can participate.
TOOLease will provide customers with a range of common home improvement tools with a
benchmarked level of customer service.

The Company

TOOLease will be a partnership, owned and operated by 6 Civil Engineers. These

engineers specializes in Material science and Engineering giving them extensive knowledge and
experience in understanding relationships between properties, structure, processing and
performance of materials that are used economically.

Previously, Engr. Edbert Cartagena worked with JGC Philippines as a Materials Engineer,
giving him experience in designing and creating a wide range of products. Engr. Hannah Evero's
previous job was with SGS Philippines as a highly experienced specialist and laboratory technician
who gives her expertise in the testing of plastics, polymers and industrial lubricants that can lead
to the reliability of the equipment in our sector. Engr. Aejay Barcelon and Engr. Kimberly Lopez
has extensive knowledge of business management since both come from a business-oriented
family. Both families are known for the quality of the infrastructures they are building. Engr. Claire
Dela Cruz and Engr. Reanne Tangente holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and has
experience working in the financial field, which gives them knowledge on the determination of
standard costs and also gathers operational data that will benefit the company.

Products and Services

Our primary product / service mix is: Tool and Equipment Rental. If you have a work to do, we
have a tool to make it easier and quicker. Service to our customers, both professional and "Do-It-
Yourselfers," is the primary part of our day-to-day operations.

The Market

5th Avenue has two separate business categories that are the most appealing to TOOLease
customers. The first section involves people who are performing a home improvement program in
their houses. While some of these customers know exactly what they need in terms of tools, many
of them will be coming to TOOLease specifically for the expertise and guidance of the home
improvement project.
 The second segment of customers are handymen who have been hired to complete a project
for a client. Because the cost of purchasing tools is so high and there are so many rental tools
available, handymen will be attracted to TOOLease because of their abundance of leasing and
rental options.

Start-Up Financing

The company seeks a capital of ₱9,000,000. Together, the owners will invest ₱1,500,000
each in order to meet the capital requirements. In that financial capital, a property of 1,000 square
meters will be acquired for the building of our headquarters on 5th Avenue. This will also serve
as a storage area for the tools that are in site which are to be rented upon.
