On the 15th day of March in the year Lord two thousand eighteen, Lemery Senior

High School (LSHS) launched the 1st Research Forum with the theme
"Strengthening Research Skills: Addressing Nations Demand" held at Governor
Feliciano Leviste Memorial National High School (GFLMNHS) Covered Court,
Lemery, Batangas for the School Year 2017-2018. The event was headed by the
compassionate LSHS principal Dr. Baby Janet U. Dimailig together with the very
own research advisers: Dr. Randie B. Atienza of Science, Technology, Engineering
and Mathematics (STEM) and Dr. Cristy M. Reyes of Accountancy, Business and
Management (ABM). Also with the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)
strands as supported by some LSHS teachers. This was actively participated by the
selected research projects and Science Investigatory Projects (SIP) from the said
strands wherein the groups were able to conduct a Poster-Exhibit containing all
the highlighted key information as they present their research outputs. This
activity was done in order to increase and promote the research productivity and
aimed to apply efficient and necessary skills and knowledge to the different
methodological approaches in order to formulate outputs that will be significantly
used by the society. Moreover, this had been attended by the elementary and
secondary teachers and principals in Lemery District together with the selected
students of LSHS and GFLMMHS who served as the target audience of this event.

The program started at exactly 9 o'clock in the morning through the short opening
prayer led by _____________________ and followed by the singing of the
national anthem headed by Mrs. Lorela A. Sanchez, LSHS HUMSS Teacher.
Consequently, in order to formally begin the said forum, Dr. Randie B. Atienza
delivered his opening remarks who proudly presented the different research
projects and highlighted the importance of research in the daily life. Subsequently,
Dr. Baby Janet U. Dimailig also delivered her message through having different
research-related trivia and discussed some relevant ideas concerning the
significant roles of research not only for the academic purposes but also for the
nation building. She also addressed that one of the objectives of this activity was
to develop the necessary skills in research in Lemery District and become
competent enough not only inside the Division of Batangas but also in both
regional and national levels. After delivering their messages, Mr. Allan Chester B.
Diezmos, the program facilitator began to explain the flow of the program itself.
The research proponents then presented and discussed their research studies
through a visual presentation wherein some of the audience were given
opportunities to raise questions which to be answered by the proponents. The
following were the selected research titles as arranged chronologically:

Afterwards, the audience proceed to the poster-exhibits to take pictures and get
some ideas for their further research studies. Mrs. Charito Pamilara, Lemery Pilot
Elementary School (LPES) teacher, gave some of her insights about the said event.
Mrs. Pamilara congratulated the LSHS students for a job well done. She also
encourage more the students to pursue what they have started in the field of
research which they can share it to others and can contribute to the community.
This is then followed by the message of Dr. Atienza and Dr. Reyes for the success
of the event.
