Introduction
IBM Network Performance Insight (NPI) 1.2.3 Demo Virtual Machine (VM) enables
you to conduct quick demos.
This VM includes a data playback file that has pre-recorded data. You can
immediately consume this data when you access the VM.
You do not need to configure data flow and collection separately to show the NPI
dashboards.
Intended Audience
This document is intended for IBM Tech Sellers and/or Business Partners who want
to show the capabilities of NPI Visualization to potential Network Performance
Insight (NPI) customers.

2. Once the VM is up, click ‘Not listed?’ option and login as root user.
Username: root
Password: root!@#
Starting Jazz for Service Management application server
1. From the desktop, right-click and select Open Terminal to open a new
terminal.
2. As root user, run startdash.sh script to start the JazzSM server.
# cd /root
# ./startdash.sh
Access the Ambari server dashboard
This will launch the Ambari administration interface from the browser.
2. Access the Ambari server dashboard by using the following credentials.
The default user name is admin, and the default password is admin.
3. Click Actions > Start All from the Ambari web interface.
4. Click Confirm Start to start all the services.
5. From the prompt, click OK, once all services are started.
NOTE: You must wait for all services to start before proceeding to the next
step.
Logging in to the Dashboard Application Services Hub portal
1. From the desktop, click Applications and select Firefox Web Browser.
