1. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)


Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

suitable and attractive casing or complete system programme (for

CLO 3 : Perform systematically the relevant test and measurement to determine


circuit fault and functionality and construct project casing (hardware
project) or test run, debug and execute system programme (software

3. SCOPE

To meet the course requirements, you will need to perform the following assessments:
i. Investigation on preliminary design- CLO1 (at least 2 alternative
designs given).

c. Circuit / software selection

ii. Design of prototype / system- CLO2 (at least 2 alternatives given)


a. Size and dimension
b. Layout / user interface
c. Labelling
d. Safety features / system reset
e. Use of computer aided software

4. INSTRUCTIONS
i. The project is to be done individually as determined by the supervisor.
ii. Each student must prepare at least basic tools (multimeter, soldering iron, test
pen etc.)
iii. Student must follow all safety rules and Standard of Procedure (SOP) as
requested by Occupational Safety and Health Committee (JKKP JKE).
iv. Student’s name and registration number must be written on Printed Circuit
Board (PCB)
v. In logbook assessment, student will be assessed for CLO1 (investigation
knowledge), CLO2 (Design knowledge) and CLO3 Practical Skill Assessment.
vi. For CLO3 assessment, there are 3 assessments which are:
a. Practical Skill Rubric for Hardware
b. Practical Skill Rubric for Interfacing
c. Practical Skill Rubric for Software

Student must choose either to be assesses for Hardware OR Interfacing OR


Software based on the student’s project specification.

in course outline.
ii. Final report Project 2 must be written and follow the template provided. (CLO
5 – Systematically).
iii. The Final Report must be printed and comb binding in soft pink colour cover.
iv. Any words or ideas that are not your own but taken from another paper need to
be cited. Plagiarism is not allowed.
v. The Final Report must be submit on time refer to course outline.
