18F FDG PET/CECT scan done on 28.12.2019

INDICATION:

A case of left renal clear cell carcinoma, post nephrectomy + splenectomy (09.11.2019). scan done for
baseline evaluation & staging.

FINDINGS:

Post left nephrectomy + splenectomy status noted.

Prominent fibrotic stranding noted in the operative bed- post surgical changes

Low grade tracer uptake noted in the ill-defined soft tissue lesion extending from left retrocrural location &
along the left paravertebral region, abutting the tail of pancreas noted. SUVmax 3.38

Non FDG avid few cystic necrotic collections noted in the operative left renal bed,
And few in left iliac fossa abutting the left iliopsoas muscle. Largest measures 4.7x4cm.- likely post operative
changes

Non FDG avid gastrohepatic node noted measuring 1.3cm

Non FDG avid paraaortic node noted at the level of renal hilum, measures 1cm sized

Liver & skeletal system appears unremarkable

Calcified right lung upper & lower lobe nodule noted measuring subcm sized- post infective sequel
Otherwise no suspicious nodules noted in the bilateral lung fields

IMPRESSION
Scan findings reveal:

Post left nephrectomy & splenectomy status.

Low grade metabolism noted in the ill-defined lesion noted in the left renal bed as described suspicious for
residual disease suggest close follow up with CT/PET/CT

Gastrohepatic and paraaortic nodes appear suspicious

No evidence of locoregional nodes or distant metastases
