Objective Cues:

Santa Rosa Elementary School is the only school in Peñarrubia District with School Clinic (1 room).

The following schools have Health Corners:

a. Lusuac Elementary School
b. Namarabar Elementary School

No physical structure of a school clinic in the following schools:

a. Peñarrubia Integrated School
b. Dumayco Elementary School
c. Malamsit Elementary School
d. Tattawa primary School

Recommendations:

Specific Objective 1: To put up a structure for the school clinic or a space for first aid or health corner inside
a room.

Strategies include:

- Communicate with the School Head or other government and non-government organizations to aid in the
construction of the School Clinic or corner.

- Establish “SOSC” (School Operation School Clinic) core group among the teachers of the identified schools
to oversee the project.

Specific Objective 2: Establish the functionality of the School Clinic’ human resources

Objective Cue: Health care system of the school is poorly established, 48% among all interviewed pupils and
teaching personnel goes to a non-medical related personnel (School Head) if there are problems regarding
health.

Strategies include:

- Identify roles of the different personnel who will be working in the school Clinic Teacher, Junior First Aider,
etc.)

- Conduct trainings for the Junior First Aider and Clinic Teacher.

Specific Objective 3: Operationalize School Clinic in terms of equipment and supplies

Objective Cues: Accompanying no structure of School Clinic entails no equipment as well

Strategies include:

- Communicate with School Head and government and non-government organization for additional funding

- Coordinate with RHU for donation of medical supplies and medicines

- Encourage “SOSC” core group to conduct fundraising activities

- Pattern health records with SDO

- Inquire with DOH, Red Cross and PHO for posters and instructional materials
