Municipalities Act 2019 - Follow the provisions of Telangana Municipalities
Act 2019 - Necessary Action - Reg.

The attention of all the Municipal Commissioners of Municipalities and
Corporations of all the Urban Local Bodies in the Telangana State (except Grater
Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) are invited to the reference cited and are informed
that the Government vide reference cited have enacted the Telangana Municipalities Act,
2019 (Act 11 of 2019) w.e.f. 23.07.2019.

2. In this regard, it has come to the notice of undersigned that some Municipal
Commissioners are issuing Ownership Certificate, Valuation Certificate and others
certificates which are against provisions of old Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965 and
also under new Telangana Municipalities Act 2019.

3. Therefore, all the Municipal Commissioners of Municipalities and Corporations of all

the Urban Local Bodies in the Telangana State (except Greater Hyderabad Municipal
Corporation) are once again directed that, they shall not issue any kind of Ownership
Certificates, Valuation Certificates etc., which are not under the provisions of the
Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019 and they shall strictly follow the act provisions under
Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019

4. Any deviations found against the provisions the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019
disciplinary action will be initiated against the Municipal Commissioners and concerned
officials responsible.

Copy to the Regional Director-cum-Appellate Commissioner of Municipal Administration,

Warangal and Hyderabad for necessary follow up and action in the matter and
review in monthly meetings.
