“What are the Benefits of Reading Novels and Wattpad Stories?

There are many hobbies that everyone has and that is certainly different. Most
hobbies that a person has are influenced by the personality of the person himse/herself.
For those who are extroverted, they may have a hobby that relates to many people. Like
hanging out in cafe with lots of friends, shopping with their friends and etc. But for several
people who are introverted, having a hobby related to calmness is the best choice. They
prefer to spend time alone or with the closest person rather than having to deal with the
frenzied world outside. I am an introvert. I usually like to read novels, and stories at
Wattpad. It’s different from my friend. She is indeed an introvert like me but she prefers
to spend her time with traveling to a quiet place with her closest friend. To be very honest,
I prefer to spend my free time with my hobby of reading novels or stories in wattpad
rather than traveling. That’s because we can get extensive knowledge and new
vocabularies treasury, and also it will can increase our ability to handle and process
emotions.

At the first, reading novel or stories in wattpad can make us get extensive
knowledge and new vocabularies treasury. This reason certainly will be true. There will
be a lot of newknowledge about everything like places inside the country or abroad that
we don’t know yet, history of world civilization, and about anything about general
knowledge depend on the genre of the novel or the story we read. For example, I ever
read the novel with the romance with the title “Matryoshka” written by Ghina Amanda
Putri which the novel has setting in Russia. From reading that novel, I know more about
the names of places and monuments in Russia such as “St. Petersburg” and “Bronze
Hoerseman Statue” located in the center of St. Petersburg. I also got the new information
that Russia has nickname as the country of “Red Bears”. Not only that, for sure I got some
words and phrases in Russian language like “Spasiba” it means that “Thank You” in
English, “Dobroe Utra” it means that “Good Morning” in English, “Ya Lyubyu Tebya”
it means that “I Love You” in English and much more.

And the second, reading novels and stories in wattpad it can increase our ability
to handle and control our emotions. According to Manfaat.co.id, stated that when we are
reading a novel carefully, then we will practice with our imagination and also it can
control our own emotions. Sometimes, the reader will be easily emotional when they are
reading the novels or stories in wattpad (it”s like the readers is played with their emotions
by the author) from the characteristics of the characters in the novels or the wattpad story.
The more often the emotions of the readers are mocked, it will get the ability to control
emotional self. For example, I learned a lot about how to deal with my friends with the
different attitudes. Which characteristic of each of my friends is also owned by the
characters in the novel and wattpad story that I have read. I also like having my own
motivation to have the same emotions as the character who is my role model in the novel
or the wattpad story.

Well, the conclusion is there are many hobbies that we can do according to our
interests. One of them is reading novel and story in wattpad. It has so many benefits for
us as a readers. But the most important reasons is we can get broad insight into various
thing. And don’t forget we can also increase our vocabulary treasury. Beside that, based
in the previous paragraph, from reading te novels or wattpad stories, we can improve our
ability to control our emotions.
